  1. Marshall is averaging 12,5 Ks per 9. I think that would indicate otherwise.
  2. Through 60 games last year, the Sox were 2 under. If last year had this year’s season, they would have been a contender.
  3. The problem is we have no idea if fans will be at games next year at this point.
  4. Sox still have a lead and Cordero is out. I guess you are just as wrong as you claim Rickey is.
  5. What Jason just said was what I questioned a while back. If you come back out after finishing an inning, the 3 batter rule reverts back into play.
  6. Nightengale tweeting a growing sentiment Hader gets dealt.
  7. I don’t know who pays who more money, KW to Nightengale or Boras to Heyman
  8. I don’t understand why they would consider trading him. He’s good, controlled, cheap, and if the season ended today they are in the playoffs. If he is readily available, it seems they think he cannot keep doing what he is doing.
  9. Cease isn’t going to get away with walking 5 or 6 guys in a playoff game. The Sox are sort on pitching. They do need at least one starter, and does anyone really think Foster, Detwiler and Marshall will continue to be nails? The cracks are starting to show in the bullpen. They have been great, but they are not as good as they have performed.
  10. Moreland is having a big year and has a $3 million team option for next season. The prospects were rated #16 and #19 in San Diego’s system.
  11. I am still trying to figure out why the Brewers would be selling off Woodruff and/or Hader. They are in the playoffs as of now even with a pretty bad start. i jokingly said Dunning’s start was a showcase. But in reality it may be. The White Sox are on of the teams that do not participate in sharing a feed from their Alternate site.
  12. I really think anyone wanting the Sox to trade Kopech is being really short sided. I get some may be pissed he opted out, but with the surgery, his marriage in shambles, his estranged wife pregnant, and his admitted mental health issues, it seems like the right call for him. He was throwing 100 this spring. He is a bit different, but he works his ass off. If you loved him before he opted out, you should still love him.
  13. Burdi is probably the “corresponding roster move”
  14. Next thing you know, the dictators will close the barbershops.
  15. Vaughn is going to perfect for the Sox because unlike most of the others, he actually makes you throw him a strike. Scouts say he is Paul Konerko only better. I don’t see much chance he busts if he doesn’t get hurt.
  16. Actually his peripherals this year are some of the worst in his career. They still aren’t horrid, and he has been a lot better pitcher for quite a while than most probably realize. For a fair price, I agree, bring him on. But if they are going to have to send 3 or 4 of these guys that we have been watching horrible baseball for years to give them time to develop , it just isn’t worth it. Woodruff and Hader would be nice.Of the guys mentioned as available, I agree, Lynn would be my first choice, but the price is the problem. Maybe it gets to Monday afternoon and Texas says we have to dump him. They might get a little freaked. They held on to Mike Minor and got burned.
  17. Lynn could be great, but he is going to cost a ton in prospect capital. Plus you would have to expect some regression this season. He has had a real nice career, but nothing like the start to this season. So maybe he has a 4,50 ERA the rest of this season. Granted, you have him another season at a very reasonable rate, but he will be 34 and doesn’t exactly take much care of himself. I think the price will be too high.
  18. I would take him if the price was right. But he is now throwing 90 and has a track record of 7 good starts. The price shouldn’t be anywhere near Cease.
  19. Morosi is the worst. If the White Sox are looking for pitching of course they have asked about every available guy, and those are the 3 most mentioned. I read the Athletic and one of their guys claimed the price for Bundy could be Cease. That has got to be laughable. I wonder if the Cubs would take a prospect ranked around 15 for Q. Probably not, but if they are bleeding as much cash as they claim, the Sox should probably ask.
  20. It has been a huge year of death. Lute Olson died a couple of days ago. Former Portland Trailblazer Cliff Robinson died at 53. Played 18 seasons.
  21. It would be nice, but I certainly don’t see the value in trading Cease or Dunning and Stiever for Lance Lynn. Now is the time owners have been crying about their losses. Take on some money and keep the prospect capital. As we all know, you never have too much pitching, and a couple of these guys will be needed down the road even if the Sox have great health. No need blowing your wad on 2020. You are an ill timed Covid breakout from it being a waste anyways.
  22. Because if they start at 4 pm or 5 pm locally, shadows will make the first 3 innings useless.
  23. So it looks like they will play most of the playoffs in a bubble. All except the first round best of 3. The WS is going to be played in Arlington which makes sense since it is a dome. The bad news for most of us is if the Sox advance the AL playoffs will be in Southern California, which again, makes sense because of weather, but will probably mean late game times for those of us in the Midwest.
