Why was Dunning pulled after 15 pitches?
The Big Hurt said warming a guy up the second Dunning gave up 1 hit did two very bad things. It ruined Dunning's confidence, and it hurt the rest of the team's confidence. If the plan is to use 8 or 9 guys, chances are there are going to be a couple, if not more, that don't have it that day. You can't be afraid of 1 run in the first inning. If the plan was to use Crochet for a few innings early, why didn't they start him?

Offseason Targets
With Robert in CF and Engel on the bench for the late innings, I am not too concerned the nextp Sox RF is gold glove quality.

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
There will never be enough pitching. Didn’t the Dodgers have 7 starters last year, and wound up needing more?

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
Hopefully Kopech is what we all hope he is.

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
There is something about the interactions where I think right now, Bauer wants to play for the White Sox. I think the question will be what it always is, money.

Fire Ricky
I don’t think so

Ozzie and Frank were saying if you are going to use Rodon, use him to start an inning.. They said even Rodons wife knows he is not a releiver.

The Big Hurt is teeing off on Rickey. Said he burned his bullpen too soon. Showed the team he had no confidence in them getting the bullpen up after one hit. Said guys were used in roles they weren’t used to and lack of normalcy did the team in. I did wonder why Rickey was standing and leaning over in the dugout. It would be one thing if that is what he always did, but that pose just made everything more abnormal. That said, the Sox had their chances and didn’t make it happen. Frankly, they were going to have a huge problem moving forward if they were only going to use 2 starters normally, especially with no off days once the series begins. I will miss White Sox baseball. Hopefully they can play a full schedule next year.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
Yep, should have traded Dunning and Kopech for Clevinger, and paid for his surgery.

I don’t think he is OK. The trainer was talking to RR and indicating an elbow issue.

I think the hope is Marshall for 2, Fry for 1 and Colome for 2, and hope you score a lot of runs.

When does Mazara get an extension?

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
Mazara seems to get a lot of full counts.

He was hoping to get the lefty out and be out of the inning. But Hot Carl walked him, and that led to trouble

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
This clown is talking about the intentional walk. That was the smart play. It was Rodon facing a righty. One of the better outcomes would have been walking him anyway.

The A’s don’t hit, but they make you throw strikes and can hit homers. The 2 things Cease hasn’t exactly mastered.

A break. Now get some runs.

I think he should have left Dunning for a little bit.

Have you ever noticed every time Coop goes out ther the next pitch is a ball.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
Another issue is Foster hasn’t been so automatic lately.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
I think it is so unfair to expect much out of Rodon, Bummer and Leury at this point. They just couldn’t be anywhere near full speed.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
Ricky made a nice move there. The intentional walk counts as a batter.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
If he walks him, Rodon should fake an injury so they can take him out.

Sox @ A’s - Wildcard Game 3 - 2:10
This is a problem. Rodon was not ready to return, and the A’s see too many pitches to go inning to inning with relievers.
