Fake News. I actually liked Jake Peavy.

But the first 4 years you want to blame KW. Provide evidence. I do think one of those first 4 they really were half in half out if that. Not really expecting to contend, but when he was all in, the team was still terrible. Eventually, they will get to the point they were at those seasons roster strength wise. Why should anyone bank on the result being spectacular?

Next time you see Rick, ask him about his first signing, Jeff Keppinger. Then ask him what KW thought of it, and then tell me Rick had no power.
-
We have people thinking in their current situation Harper and Machado are possible.
-
If the White Sox were in the same financial situation, we would be doing the same thing.
-
Ok.Rick Hahn is a great GM. He has nothing to do with the White Sox being 134 games under .500 his 6 seasons, even if the best he could muster was 78 wins in the at least 3 seasons he was all in. Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams should not be doing this rebuild, whether you like it or not. I would venture to guess the vast majority here would agree with that. So stalk them.

Clark really backed himself in. He said final offers were in, and it was all decided. That’s about as far out on a limb as one could go. I am sure in Machado ends up with the Yankees in a week or two, he will return saying he was correct. But he is still wrong.

So did KW back in the day.

My thing was it appeared it was this guy’s livelihood. When it becomes your job and not some mess with people on the Internet, it isn’t crazy to assume he was using good information. Even WSD has scruples.
-
Since he said something different yesterday, I take it he has no source to be trusted.
-
You got me, great job. I already said about 1000 times I fell for so,e BS. But have fun stalking.

2018-2019 Official NBA thread

Check Stubhub for weeknight games. If you are willing to wait until the last minute, you will get something in the 100 level for less than $20. They do put on quite an experience, but I would imagine this is getting a little old for several people paying huge money. They better get decent by next year or IMO their ticket base is going to crater. -
I saw him yesterday, he said Phillies. His partner Chris said White Sox.
-
He deactivated so he wouldn't get any crap for not paying the charity.
-
They probably aren't paying anything close to $20 million.
-
It's beginning to look a lot like Harper must learn to like Philadelphia, which is where Nightengale pegged him all along. That leaves the White Sox with Machado. Just sign already and end this madness.
-
When the Rangers signed ARod, the Sox went bargain shopping for their extras and got themselves Royce Clayton.
-
Mike Lowell said something about Andujar yesterday on MLBN that I agree with. He would much rather have a player who can hit but struggles in the field , than a guy who can't hit but is a great fielder. He said there is a much better chance Andujar will improve in the field than a guy who can't hit learning how to hit.
-
I think ulimately DJ plays 2B, Gleyber moves to 3b, Andujar traded or 1B. Tulo SS. If Tulo can't hold up, Gleyber is at SS and Andujar stays at 3B. It's actually one of the scenerios Cashman mentioned during the Winter Meetings. Sign a 2B and move Torres over.

Dan Clark needs to employ Kellyanne Conway to spin this. Either that or pay Rick Hahn some cash to craft him a tweet. I can't believe I fell for that guy. I didn't even know he was in Austrailia.
-
I agree. They obviously had at least 2 sets of records, but whatever Shields' accurate records showed was very unlikely to kill the trade. The one thing he did do was hold up physically.
-
Yes, you would think with the teams he visited, he isn't going to play SS for the Yankees, he isn't going to play SS for the Phillies, and it's probably better off for the White Sox if he plays 3B. So I would think if the White Sox said you can play SS if you like, this would have been done by now if SS is the dealmaker some claim. Maybe it is, but the evidence right now is contradicting that.
-
Yes, you would think a SS with really good range would probably have that same instinct in the OF.
-
Chances are if you can play SS in the major leagues, you can probably play a number of positions. It's not a 100% lock, but a pretty good chance. He didn't play SS, but Craig Biggio was a catcher and outfielder before he became a 2B then he went back to the OF full time, before returning to 2B, and he made the HOF. . Robin Yount moved to CF. Tim Raines was a 2B.
