  1. If he hasn’t said a peep about it, how would you know what he knows?
  2. What are they bidding, and if Lozano had picked up the pace, are you saying there is no way they would have bid?
  3. Probably not, but I doubt they are making any. Patrick Corbin did his fast and once you say it's time for the final bids, you get the final bids. He scored big. It's not like any team is going to notice they have an extra $100 million laying around.
  4. They are done with Cleveland, so it might be close.
  5. When will Roger Bossard be named Head Groundskeeper Emeritus, and Manny's lawn guy the new sodfather?
  6. The Sox are at the table. We should all be thrilled. Actually signing means nothing. That said, I don't know how people conclude anything from these quotes. Hahn is actually complementing the fan base for not acting like a psycho took out their entire family if Manny goes elsewhere. I doubt anything has changed regarding his status since Thursday or Friday when it was assumed he would be a Soxfest surprise. Besides, everyone said Levine was full of crap when he mentioned the Sox offer. If SD suddenly enters the fray, doesn't it mean an 8 year $250 million offer really isn't on the table and Levine was probably correct? If they were willing to go there, why wouldn't they have been in since the beginning?

Doubtful they would add flights. If you aren’t checking bags, and willing to make a stop outbound, check skiplagged.com. You can get a round trip for about $180 and leave on the first at about 630 pm. Chicago is a hidden stop on that United flight.
  8. Respond in kind I would think would mean the Sox gave them an offer, they didn’t respond with a counter proposal. Maybe they haven’t responded at all. Maybe they said thanks for the offer we’ll get back to you. But to me,Hahns comment implies lack of a counter.
  9. This SD guy has to be full of shit. He actually said it could be done this weekend. Machado and his agent couldn't be big enough dicks and have that news come out while the Sox fan fest was going on. And no one else has it.
  10. This being at the table has me confused. Did it take until after the 2018 season for the White Sox to learn all players will “invite them to the table” if they are willing to pay the rate it takes to sign them? Are White Sox fans supposed to take out of this good players will actually listen to the White Sox ifthey make competitive offers as a feather in their cap? No wonder the Cubs own this town.
  11. If they aren’t at liberty to give any details and really don’t care for any attention, I have a hard time wondering why they would suggest something was up. At the very least, the board last night, and I wasn’t on when it happened, turned to Joc. If what rabbit was suggesting wasn’t Joc is going to be traded for quickly, he could have stopped it with one post. That didn’t happen. If Joc Pederson was traded to the White Sox today, both would have accepted all accolades. So since it didn’t happen, whatever, but they weren’t right. And that should not bother them if they have to read it. I don’t personally know either guy, maybe it doesn’t bother them. There have been more insiders than ever this year, and more inaccuracies. Personally I think any who has contract details, and wrap up dates are all full of it. Rabbit was on fire a couple of years ago.WSD was on fire a few years ago. Whether they still have those same sources, and whether those sources really have the correct answers onky they can answer. Once you get an insider label there does seem to be an expectation. Rabbit wrote some stuff a few weeks ago mentioning signing on a Wednesday. He was only tomgue in cheek because KW used to always seem to make his moves on Wednesday , but people were setting up for something happening on Wednesday. So I could see where it could be a burden. But insider does seem to be a coveted title.
  12. Saying something is going to happen isn’t exactly going out on a limb. I will tell you something will happen between now and spring training. I also will tell you I have no source.
  13. Just standing by waiting for the big announcements.
  14. So if they announced a trade for Joc, WSD would have received no credit. He was wrong. No big deal. Everyone has been wrong. But at least call it what it is.
  15. I am just surprised they didn’t have any huge announcement. This is Soxfest afterall. You know, the place they announced the name change to US Cellular Field?
  16. It's all BS anyway. There is a guy on twitter who has already said Manny and Pederson are done deals. People are scratching their heads trying to figure out how he knew.
  17. Less than 2 hours away from the big announcements.
  18. People can make fun of him all they want, but he's made a living covering baseball, something a lot of us wouldn't mind doing.

How did you know? Beef is my other guy.
  20. Being a baseball player on the West Coast is a bit tougher. There is more travel. SD weather is nice, but Manny isn't there during the winter. He's from Miami so hot and humid is probably his thing. Chicago offers that during baseball season.
  21. If the Padres are in, there's a better chance Nightengale, Olney and Levine were pretty accurate, and the others....not so much.
  22. I can't see a team going from 0 to $250 million. I would imagine if the Padres are suddenly in, it's at what we all thought would be laughably low when this thing started.
