  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) Why Hendry? He's played well. EDIT: Nevermind, you're the guy who thinks Sopel is playing well. I am not a fan of Sopel but he does what he is suppossed to do and is one of the few guys that is having a good series. He is averaging 17 minutes a game and has a 0 +/-. He also has the same amount of points as the Captain and more than the Norris trophy defensemen to say that he is not playing well is ignorant. Hendry plays neither special team..oh and Sopel leads in PK TOI but I guess that is not important...and plays 9 minutes to Sopel's 17. What exactly am I missing here? I also said Hjalmarsson is playing good. I guess the fact that he is +2 is just a mirage as well as I know nothing.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:39 AM) Bickell/Burrish in, Fraser/Eager out... we're not losing much, but not gaining much either. Campbell in had better mean Sopel out... though I wish it meant Byfuglien back to offense. EDIT: actually if Campbell is back, I'd assume that would mean no Bickell tonight and Buff would go to offense. I think Campbell will replace hendry and move Buff to in front ofthe net on the PP.
  3. The odd thing about this move is if it was for the good of the team Wells or Dempster would be moved to the pen. This is just odd to me.
  4. I am on verge of not caring anymore about this team after looking at this lineup. I like moving Quentin down but anyone with any sort of sense can tell you AJ is unable to drive in runs yet there he is..... The L/R/L bulls*** strikes again. That lineup is embarassing. Guillen says two days ago that there is a LH lineup and RH line up yet we have yet to see a consistent lineup and nobody has been injured. What is also with the f***ing days off they were off Monday...
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) Kotsay also is slow as s*** on the bases. For all this versatility talk we heard during ST, there sure hasn't been a lot of creativity from Ozzie. You want to know a pretty big organizational flaw that is never talked about. Cooper preaches pitching to contact yet the defense is never addressed properly. Mark Teahen at third is not addressing the defense properly.
  6. I really wish guillen would stop trying to play a match up type lineup with the players that have no clue how to perform it. The L/R/L/R stuff has not worked in a couple of years nor has the guy he thinks needs to lead off. Baseball is not that hard to manage it really isn't if you have agood pen AJP can not drive in runs yet he and Kotsay bat fifth for some god unknown reason. Lucy may be a s*** player but he has had some good at bats and deserves at leasta decent look. Also Quentin is not hte player he was in 2008 and should be moved out of the 3 spot.
  7. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:47 PM) Just heard on the Score, they quoted Sun-Times and Tribune tweets.........Zambrano being moved to bullpen. Z must be hurt.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) The NFL couldn't really have done more. Had the suspension been longer than 4 game with good behavior, the NFLPA would have lost it's mind. As it is even now, I bet they aren't too pleased. Sorry if I was unclear but the Steelers were pushing for as tough a suspension as they could levy.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) I'd be a lot more panicky if we weren't missing the two top offensive threats on defense. You can literally see the difference with and without these guys on the team right now. That has more to do with this than anything Q is or isn't doing. Duncan Keith is the top offensive threat. This team is playing too small in this series.
  10. The Steelers were pushing the NFL for the suspension to be tougher.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) Also, it'd be nice if the captain decided to show up for this series at some point. A lot of people haven't shown up obviously, but Toews' absence has been especially noteable. He and Hossa would be nice. Sadly the only guys I think really playing well are Sopel, Kane and the Swedish Hammer. Q is a .500 coach in playoffs maybe that is all we are going to get with him. This team does not look like it can adjust to anything Nashville is doing.
  12. I posted this elsewhere but I will do it again. The ratings suck for any WS that does not include major "nation" teams thus the MLB does not want the mid major type to win thus you will not see a salary cap. The MLB wants the yanks, Red Sox, Mets, cubs, Dodgers etc. in the playoffs and could give a s*** about he rest of the teams.
  13. The site confuses me...I am not an idiot but I just never seem to get anywhere quickly. I think I have 3 posts there mostly when this site was down.

I am not sure what to make of that episode. It backs my point about the hospital potentially gettting everyone in one place.... I need to read reviews on this I think.
  15. Somebody needs to explain to Ozzie that right handed hitters can hit right handed pitching. If they could not they would have been out of baseball by age 12. Left handed hitters struggle against left handed pitching.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) Their bullpen plan is to what our offensive plan was this year. Both front offices should be fired for having such a high payroll with such glaring holes. Bats are easier to find than bullpen help. How is that cub offense doing when not able to play in the wind tunnel
  17. The Hawks will have four goals in 3 games after tonight. Any discussion of the team starts and ends there. Keep believing the hype boys
  18. We are now seeing that when guillen has to put thought into making decisions with the lineup and during the game, he is not capable of doing it. This should be his last year.
  19. Watch it be someone like Dave Bush or something odd and pointless. If it is a cub, I could see Dempster or Lilly as well.

I rewatched last week's episode last night and I have a question about the well that I was hoping someone could answer me.. We are to assume it is the same well that Locke was going down when the flash occurred and he fell, suffered a compound fracture and turned the wheel as instructed by Christian. Wasn't this the same place where the Swan was built and Juliet set off the bomb. If I am correct, the well was replaced by the building of the Swan and thus in the current on island scenario the Swan was never built and Dharma never existed......
  21. Danks and Mark should help minimize the running game.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 03:15 PM) The team was awful in the 90's and built its fanbase rather than having it shrink. Community overhaul, Sosa, Wood, Grace, Harry Cary I just think that at the prices they are asking attendance will tapper off. Remember this was Year One
  23. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 03:47 PM) The Red Sox lineup isn't "really good" anymore. With Ramirez gone and Ortiz not what he was, their lineup has regressed considerably. I'd take there's over the White Sox without hesitation though. I posted this over in some thread over at the PHT side but I am not sure that the Red Sox lineup is all that it is cracked up to be. I can see them getting old quick.
  24. I am being serious when I ask where would CJ play. Omar would be the first RH and LH bat off the bench and the first 3B/SS/2B off the bench of the 2.....why I am not sure.
  25. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 01:47 PM) I agree that a GM should not make drastic changes in April. The difference I see is that the Red Sox actually have a good offensive team that is starting slow. The White Sox have a bad offensive team that is starting slow and any drastic change would be good and something that should have been done before the season started. If you compare the teams its not even close. C - Victor >> AJ 1b - Youk >> PK 2b - Pedroia > Beckham. 3b - Beltre > Teahan ss - Scutaro = Ramirez, maybe a slight edge to Al. LF - Elsbury >> Pierre CF - Rios > Cameron RF - Quentin = Drew. Both have health issues. Carlos has more upside. DH - Ortiz > Kotsay. Both are terrible. The only positions were we are better are CF and arguably RF. The Red Sox are significantly better at multiple positions. Thus, it would be dumb for them to panic. The White Sox, however, need to make changes to improve. I don't consider that a panic move. Quentin is >> Drew and you leave Jones of of the equation for some reason. I will also say that I do not think elsbury is >> then Pierre. Jon Lackey was lit up today.
