  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Donde esta Alex Cintron? en el bano
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:46 PM) I hope this is not true, so please someone say they're watching the Tigers broadcast. A friend of mine watching in Mississippi is getting the Tigers broadcast and said that their announcers are saying Quentin is out for another month. Pure speculation. Sadly I think injuries will hamper his entire career.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:43 PM) Guillen has no strengths as a manager anymore. At least KW has the aggressiveness tag. Think about this...Ozzie's been tossed one time all season, and that was sticking up for Jhonny Perralta. I don't agree with that at all. Since day one I have said he needed a good bench coach he has not gotten one and here we are.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) You don't want a team with Pierre in CF, Abreu in RF, Figgins at 3B, and give away 5 outs a game via the bunt? Not sure I would hate it. When was the last time the Sox scored three runs in an inning without hitting a home run?
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:37 PM) The next person to go very well may be Ozzie, I honestly believe that right now. I think the egos of Guillen and Williams may finally become an issue. Really though what are Guillen's options when looking at this team. Guillen is far more valuable to this organization than Williams...I can't believe I just typed that. Hahn cna easily replace Williams, who can replace Guillen? Cora? He is as clueless as they come.
  6. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:35 PM) I can't help but think even though it may be crazy but Ozzie seems to want to lose so it might force KW to do something with this roster... Sadly, this seems more true than I would like to consider.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) I like Beckham's approach at the plate. He seems to have really good strike zone judgment too. Just a smart player. Seems to swing at the first pitch much too often for my liking but he could be over anxious. Pinch hit Getz with no power over Nix????????? Guillen really does not want to win any longer.
  8. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) Well since this game is OVA - we might as well talk about something else. How would you guys like to have Reed Johnson patrolling CF until Jared Mitchell or Danks is ready? Are you the same guy that was touting this idea earlier today? Reed Johnson is not good.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Would you care if you knew you had the best job security in the world? You have Ozzie basically questioning his General Manager in the media as if he's begging for a fight. I do not think Guillen wanted Beckham here and this is the breaking point. I also think Guillen is getting a little to full of himself and thinks he would be a better GM or build a team that he wants. Something seems off this whole year with the decision making process as an organization as a whole. I can not truly beleive that both Guillen and KW thought Wise wasa good option..... Sadly the next two days will expose this team for what it is. I would be shocked if either game is decided by less than 5 runs. Then off to the NL where the Sox lineup will consist of 4 MLB caliber hitters which Podesednik is one of. I do not consider AJ to be a theat any longer. He has 12 RBI and seems to have no plan at the plate.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) A horses*** team with a horses*** manager. It really is sad that the manager of the White Sox seems to not really care if games are won or lost based on his decisions. I almost believe that the entire coaching staff has completely shut down. The positioning of players appears to be non-existant and any in game managing is non-existent. I thought they should have hit and run with Pods and Ramirez on and a 1-2 on Dye as he was not havinga good at-bat. Aj is having as bada yearas anyone...I know he is hitting .300. His defense is abysmal.
  11. Time to blow it up. They are going to be shut out tomorrow and Thursday. At least they are deep at catcher now. Think they will move Flowers or AJ?
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) Even if Fields made some errors with the media, Willis is a perfect guy for him to mash and he's a much better hitter than Nix. I'd prefer Becks at 2B where he will play the next several years and fields at 3B. So was Bonderman. I am not sure of the direction this team has taken.
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) He is on pace to strike out 7000 times this year. Wise, Anderson and Fields are all averaging a strike out once every three at-bats. Ya that's good.
  14. That first pitch swinging only works when Colon is pitching.
  15. Ozzie Guillen is proving to be a brutal in game manager. Why are defensive replacements never an option? Wise and Fields suck there is no reason why Anderson and Nix are not in there for defensive reasons. They each should have hit in the 8th as they can hit fastballs they can not hit breaking pithces.
  16. Sox have allowed 16 base runners in this game. Well at least they mouted a comeback and the bullpen will be fresh for the 2 innings Contreras goes tonight.
  17. Wise DFA bring up Danks/Kroeger/Cook/ play a man short Fields sent down bring up Lillibridge/Retherford/ Play a man short
  18. Sadly this ballgame is over
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) Expect reactions like you have been getting for the exact same reason. Nice outing by Galaraga. He could have folded early, but manned up and threw something close to 120 pitches. Sox inability is more like it. Any patience from the three pitchers at the bottom of the order and he only goes 6.
  20. The pitcher is at 118 pitches and the Sox are giving away outs......
  21. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) You panicky guys are hilarious. He's been getting better and better for weeks, but one AB and he deserves to be benched? Seriously? LOL Why are guys continuiosly asked to do things thay are not capable of?
  22. I get berated on this site for asking Beckham to bunt last Thursday during a shutout yet Ramirez who has pop is asked to bunt unsuccessfully time and again. The stupidity of this team is almost surreal.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:04 PM) No, he's really not. We need Pods in CF ASAP, and put Anderson on the bench and DFA Wise. When Quentin comes back sure but until then that is the best there is unless Lillibridge came back up. I'll take Danks over Anderson or Wise, he can not be any worse.
  24. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:02 PM) That was a hell of a call. This ump is really bad. What'd he do?
  25. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Just play BA. Both are terrible with the bat, and practially automatic outs. But at least BA has a better glove. A healthy CQ is really what this team needs. BA is fine if he bats 9th which he would have in this game. Would Anderson have had a shot at the runner that tagged from third on the sac fly?
