  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) Ned Yost is going to find himself out of a job soon. The Brewers have no energy this season. Yost still hasn't realized that David Bush is a 3-4 inning pitcher. I was up in Grenn Bay Friday, they really like the name Ned Toast.
  2. Man the Reds rotation could be pretty strong. With that line-up they are not the easy win as they used to be.
  3. Tomi Ginetti was on Mike North did she comment on this?
  4. I want to bring up the point made about 10 pages back. No woman has yet to be exposed to the doll and her bat collection. So if the "shrine" was dismantled before the general media was allowed into the lockerrom, is it still an issue?
  5. Floyd was unhittable late in the game becasue of his curve. He just missed on the Mauer hit, Mauer's a good hitter, oh well. I think Anderson makes an Indians game June, 2006 catch, remember that. For him to not be out there and Swisher in right is poor managing. Taking out Floyd was unquestionably the right move. There was no shut-out and the team needed the win in easy fashion, oh and Jenks hadn't pitched in over a week. That was without a doubt the right move. Think about this, if Quintin doesn't drop that ball, Mauer could've been batting with 2 outs in 9th, that would've been really cool. Anderson needs to play more and Koneroko needs to find the DL. Also in response to Floyd needing to strike out guys because he may give up more hits.....ok so his WHIP will not be under 1 and his ERA may be on the rise. Who cares, he is looking like a solid middle of the rotation guy at worst. He seems to bethe epitome of effectively wild and looks to be the kind of guy that can pitch down in the count and still be effective. His fastball and curve combination are front end material and at 25 the ceiling is on the rise as he learns how to pitch and find a third and fourth pitch.
  6. Cabrera kills the momentum Come on Gavin quick inning. 3-1 Sox
  7. At least Crede's sad ass pop up carried to the leftfielder. Well another wasted scoring opportunity.
  8. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ May 6, 2008 -> 08:08 PM) Its debatable whether or not it would have mattered, but, he lost the ball in the lights for a second and didnt get into a good throwing position to attempt a play at the plate. I dont think he would have had a shot anyways. why is Swisher considered an RBI guy? He needs ot get new bats as they break every time he touches the ball. Here comes a pop out on the infield.
  9. First and second nobody out and the Twins swing at the first pitch twice.... another unearned run Oz no hit and run What did Swisher do, I stepped away.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2008 -> 07:00 PM) His glove is too big Seems to like to hot dog it a little too much. Did he at least get an error on it?
  11. The was bad Quintin made a long run but needs to catch that. Terrible. Gonna be 3-2 in a second.
  12. Keep trotting out there Paulie. Floyd 50 pitches 25 balls / 25 strikes not really good. Lead-off walk no pitches were close.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) wonder pets, wonder pets, we're on our way.... Wonder Pets on 64" High Def Sox on 1995 30" Daewoo They are getting the ether when Deadlist Catch comes on if still conscious. Nice bunt attempt Cabrera. Nice play Lamb.
  14. Seriously how many runs have the Sox scored in the first three innings. I have not seen this anywhere. Joe goes opp field and Moreanu can't come up with it.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 6, 2008 -> 06:28 PM) f***ing Quentin is the man, he is a beast in the 2-hole. And someone said put him there several days ago..... I said it two weeks ago as I dislike Cabrera I also said in February that Azrizona would be the best team in baseball if RJ came back. It is hidden in Trade winds. Go Sox. Great Episode of Wonder Pets on Noggin why can't these kids fall asleep.
  16. QUOTE (The Beast @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:26 AM) Why in the hell should Owens get playing time over Swisher? Brian Anderson is the best outfielder in the organization and is/was hitting the ball and getting on base. If Swisher is not leading off, Anderson should get playing time. If Owens comes up and gets playing time over Swisher and Anderson I will begin to tune out the White Sox. Jerry Owens offense is not going to spark this team and his defense is sub-par.
  17. The Chevy Pride Crew is more sexist than a blow up doll. If Pride Crew was about White Sox Pride. There would be 8 guys from Soxtalk and a few chicks throwing shirts into the crowd and taking a run at Ozuna for last evening. It has nothing to do with Sox Pride. Carol should write about the sexism in Arena football where every team is obligated to have a set of ladies continually entertain the crowd. Ladies that are not full of team pride by the way.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:21 AM) I was referring to some of the comments in this thread. My thoughts on this 'incident' are inline with kap's. Edit: slezak's on Waddle and Silvy right now. She said her problem was with how unprofessional it was. Also, that they defended it instead of admitting a mistake. They are baseball players what line of professionalism are they required to have? They are not doctors, attornies, teachers, hell they have no other respnsability other than to entertain me on the baseball field. This is a story because the media wants it to be. If you think they are to be role models than this should never leave the clubhouse. The media makes this an issue. What really is the point of this story?
  19. This is a really stupid and pointless debate. Who is the outraged female reporter that was in the lockerrom? Please link her story so I can get this point of view, not what her point of view should or would be. What is her stance. Carol Slezak is as bad as Moronotti and his dolt sidekick Couch. I think it was kind of dumb but not really a story.
  20. Why bring up Owens and Fields, where would they play? Anderson rotting on the bench while he looks to be getting it together is just plain sad. If Swisher is not batting lead-off he should get a day or two off as should Konerko, Dye and Thome. I think Uribe stays because of $$ and he can play SS. Ozuna needs to just go away. I hope KW is doing something big. Releasing Uribe or Ozuna is not the answer.
  21. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ May 5, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) Because he was playing 2B? Sorry my thoughts left me for a moment. The starting rotation is incredible.
