  1. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 28, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) tinfoil hat time cubs haven't won a world series in 100 years so far, they've played the pirates an unbelievable amount of times also, their schedule mysteriously blanked the red sox and the yankees this year we've played a pretty difficult schedule, not based on SOS but due to how many friggin roadgames we've had to play IMO we've passed the hard part of our 2008 schedule, or at least a hefty chunk of the hard part On Monday morning, 20% of the remaining schedule will be against the Royals and the Pirates.
  2. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 28, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Didnt the Sox lose 2 out of 3 to open the season at the Jake? Yep, lost the first two and won the third I believe and 2 of 3 this series = 3-1, no?
  3. Anyone other than me think Joe Cowley is trying to make a name for himself? He seems to be on the Mike North show often and is really airing out the clubhouse. I could be wrong but he seems to be behind the dirt that comes out regarding this team.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 28, 2008 -> 06:46 AM) The thing that bugs me about Ramirez is that he really seems to have a low baseball IQ. I disagree I think he has a high baseball IQ, the slide today was a good midplay adjustment and the 12th inning hit seemed to be a recognition thing based on the pitch and the player movement. I think he is still getting acclimated to the MLB way of things and will only get better. He has laid down a couple of good sac bunts so I believe he got a pitch he could hit and adjusted nicely as oppossed to the players who can not lay down a bunt and lack basic fundamental skills and the abiltiy to adjust their thought process. Forgetting the number of outs was dumb but that happens. Swinging from your heels on a hit and run is dumb and hopefull he'll learn. He got a high fastball and pulled the trigger, nothing he could do there.
  5. On behalf of Ed Farmer, I'd like to wish everyone a goodnight. Was he doing the broadcast with the cat that was posting from Germany or Belgioum or whereever he was from. Ed it is 3:20 your time.
  6. 6-1 v. Cleveland in the last 7, 3-1 at the Prog or Jake whatever it goes by. Sox Win.
  7. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:17 PM) wasserman? He doesn't count, kind of like if a position player came in to pitch.
  8. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) 0 ERs from the pen in the series I do believe!!! O ER's since the Sunday San Fran implosion no??????
  9. Walk him to set up the DP... or not...bad AB right there walk martinez?
  10. Should OC have gotten it Stone said no, Farmer said yes.
  11. Crede likes Linebrink more than Jenks obviously.
  12. Baseball Tonight said he was DFA'd but I can not see it anywhere.......damn ESPN making me possibly look bad.
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) Bobby jenks should get this save, but an extra run would be nice. It seems Jenks has this irritating thing about him where he gives up little bleeders, broken bat geese snorts and the such. It just makes the blood pressure rise and the tummy acid to burn. The first two hits Monday were shots back up the middle.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:46 PM) Is it Linebrink time? is he warming up? yes and yes
  15. Marte not looking that steller at third.
  16. Is Garko hurt? I know Hafner is day-to-day but if those bats are available that is huge agaisnt Linebrink and Jenks.
  17. Wedge v. Guillen in head scratching moves this afternoon. Sometimes stats are better than mangaing by the seat of your pants.
  18. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ May 28, 2008 -> 12:24 PM) Sad thing is Thome is still swinging for HR Every swing since 1993. If Dotel walks one guy bring in Thorton.
  19. I get the feeling Ramirez will have to be really injured to come out of the line-up for fear of Uribe taking the job back.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2008 -> 12:21 PM) What did Dye do? Or did they walk him to face Thome? Quentin 2B Dye K Thome down 1-2
  21. Earth is not where Quentin is coming down to. No way Wedge should have pitched to Quentin there with first base open.
  22. Can the legend grow..... They should walk CQ to set up the DP more than to get to JD over CQ.
  23. Two fast guys and V-Mart steal.
  24. Why and the f*** are they still having him try and bunt? That was bad managing. Double steal here.
