QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 28, 2008 -> 11:01 AM) Wise might be one of our best hitters. He has looked good today actually nice play Westbrook. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2008 -> 11:49 AM) I'm thinking the Sox are going to put PK through the tests this week and if he doesn't come out, they'll DL him. He has done nothing for a month. He could be returning healthy in a few weeks instead he will be out until the All-Star break. That is really bad mangement of personnel. Also Hawk on Monday was chirping about how good of a clubhouse guy Cabrera is. He mustr eally think fans are dumb. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2008 -> 11:49 AM) I don't get why Swisher, who's had better at bats lately from the left side, got today off while PK was in the lineup again. Why is a guy playing centerfield that will not be with the team when Uribe comes back? -

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 28, 2008 -> 10:23 AM) Do you have faith in the Sox scoring 3 or more runs? Wouldn't be shocking if they didn't with the way Westbrook has pitched aginst them. -

That was a much better result that it looked. One good hit and a-lot of tension. Nice job. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) Our pitching has been fine. Only Buehrle hasn't been able to pitch over errors. Did anyone really think the Sox would have 4 of the top 20 or so pitchers in the AL all season? Plain and simple, we have to start scoring more runs in order to be successful. I didn't mean it as bad as it sounded. I am talking more like Floyd's inning his last outing and Danks game Saturday. I guess the fact that they have been so good that one blip sticks out. -

Seems like White Sox pitching is very suseptible to unraveling and losing it for an inning and then settling down for the remainder of the game. -

My god this is getting worse. Going to be at least 3-0 with two infield hits and an error at least. -

This is really sad, this team seems to be losing it quickly. -

Hitting hasn't the problem, coming through in the clutch has. 0-2, bad pitch. 1st and 2nd nobody out. Looks similar to last night. -
QUOTE (quickman @ May 28, 2008 -> 09:54 AM) just to pile on we need to get younger and faster, not older. Brad eldred most likely will never see a game in the majors he is this years version of crash davis. Now have I mentioned ryan freel to anyone? Hatteberg is a flyer like Edmonds. I like Anderson and think he should be playing more but what happens if he flames out and is hitting .200? Hatteberg is a bench player and hits left handed. There is no left handed bat on the bench. I believe he caught at one time (I could be wrong) and could be an emergency guy that allows Ozeroo to use both catcher's in favorable late game match-ups. Something he has been reluctant to do. At this point in time there is no need for the number of pitchers that this team is carrying. There are a ton of off days between now and the end of July taht make the rest of pitcher's even more favorable.

Pick him up and DL Konerko, he could then be the lacking bat off the bench when Konerko comes back. Am I the only one that thinks this move makes too much sense?

QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:43 PM) To be honest, CQ has been the goat so far. It's ok, we'll forgive him. They need someone other than Quentin that can string along a couple of good games at the plate. Cabrera looks to be getting there. -

Just got in, how did Mr. Telephone Man make his two errors? Looks like Buerhle holding on and they could use a clutch hit but at least they are getting on base. Seems like other than Quentin there just is no consistency. -
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 27, 2008 -> 04:55 PM) Heard on Boers and Burnstein that OC said he won't talk to any reporter from Chicago except the Tribume cause he is pissed word got out he was crying to the scorer.....plus they said Dotel was physically restrained when he and ....got into a screaming match I assume it was the wild pitch.

Sox need to try and manufacture a run with anybody but Quentin. -

Anderson should be getting AB's over Swisher. Swisher has done nothing with this team to keep trotting him out there every day. Let's get going. -
QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ May 25, 2008 -> 08:04 PM) the Padres just played an 18 inning game. Those folks should really learn how to win or lose before the 10th. Aaron Harrang pitced 4 inning of relief and struck out 9! Edinson Volquez came in and pitched the rest of the way for the Reds. Adrian Gonzalez hit a 3 run blast in the 18t after the Reds 1st baseman bobbled a grounder with 2 out. Some pitcher named Banks for the Padres pitched 5 innings of relief. crazy So a game in late May is that important to Dusty.....

If you have ever seen Jose Contreras up close the man is a horse. He may get injured as could Quentin but until then he is looking unhittable. The psyche is the problem. He seems to have recovered from the ails of last season both physically and mentally. He may be few years older than advertised but phsically he is a man. Who knows maybe he is our HGH guy. Last night was the guy that anchored the 05 playoff run. To trade him now would be stupid and pointless.

The wave was thwarted as well. This happened Thursday too. The blow up doll was pretty funny especially with the way the Sox offense looked.
