  1. Anderson is a clutch hitter. He'll flip one out into left to score the two runs. Swisher's arm sucks BTW.
  2. Is it me or does Cabrera have limited range and no arm ugh, not good
  3. Willits is a guess hitter. He looks at good strikes to work the count. Reminds me of Pods. That looked scary.
  4. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 15, 2008 -> 11:16 PM) javy at 100+ now on the pitch count, how long do we leave him in? Off Day Monday 120 pitches
  5. Is there a bigger waste of $27M in baseball than the 5 and 6 hitters in the White Sox line-up, that was pathetic. Sit his f***ing ass down if he is that f***inn hurt. What is the point of playing him? For some reason I think this game is going to get ugly quick.
  6. Here comes 5 minutes of bone bruise talk
  7. I bet Ramirez is leading off all weekend. If anyone thinks that Konerko or Thome are bringing more value to this team than Anderson could is not paying attention. His defense alone is valuable and the fact that he plays once every ten days is as good an excuse as any as to why his average is what it is. DL Konerko if he can not swing, jesus
  8. I'd like to see Anderson play the rest of this trip and give Thome and Konerko the weekend off to only pinch hit.
  9. After this road trip the Sox are off 7 of the next 9 Mondays and leave Chicago for more than 3 games once before July 7th and have one road trip greater than 6 games once befroe July 25th.
  10. How do cub pitchers strike out at least one guy just about every inning. Zambrano I get but Lilly and Dempster and doing it to.
  11. I kicked my dog, (easy PETA he is 160 lbs and didn't even move, I wasn't that motivated) afterthe 7th and missed all of the fun. Made for a good morning.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 14, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) Because he's the baseball equivalent to stinky s***. as oppossed to the current state of affairs?
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 14, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) Am I the only one that thinks that an Edwards endorsement right now isn't that big of a deal? Where was he before NC and WV? I mean the race is 99.9% over so who cares. I have been saying this about any endorsemnent after Super Tuesday. They all seem to be after the fact CYA type of things.
  14. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ May 14, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) i say we lead off uribe....hes been getting on base more than oc lol Remember when Ozeroo had him penciled in as the number 2 hitter.......... Maybe it would help him focus more, see better pitches and be more selective. The down side is that the line-up may slump and not be as productive...........well that isn't even possible so why not.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 14, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) I really believe you can find/mold first baseman much easier, plus you can typically acquire those prospects that can hit like crazy but just don't have a position a lot easier than you can acquire a toolsy type of SS. To prove your point, Konerko, Thome and Swisher
  16. If he could play defense he could be at short by mid-July. I am not really kidding either
  17. Lead-off Pablo and put him at third and Cabrera at 9. Then bat Swisher third, Dye 4th and Konerko 5th. Thome gets to bat 7th after A.J and Uribe 8th. There is a part of me that would like to see Uribe lead-off today for s***s and giggles.
  18. When scoring three runs or less 2-15 When scoring two runs or less 1-12 When scoring a run or less 0-8 When not scoring a run 0-4 The sad thing is outside of the 13-1 loss to Minnesota the average runs allowed in these games. Total runs not earned runs, total runs is 3.5. Including the Min debalce 4 runs. average. Of the 17 games in which they have scored threee runs or less Carmona, Marcum and Halladay are the only legitimate pitchers.
  19. This is a forum dedicated to just White Sox baseball. How many different topics could there really be? The essence of the board is to beat a topic into the ground. Then of course there are the 25+page Catch-all threads that have the new stuff that is not deemed new thread worthy.
  20. Here is the reason why this season can be mailed in and I was optimistic going into the year This offense is not going to flip the switch. Every pitcher does the same thing and there is no deviating from that. Every game is the same whether left or right handed the pitcher may be. Stay away with junk after throwing a first ball fastball strike up in the zone. That beats every hitter on this team. Once in a while they will run into a hanger. Orlando Cabrera is an embarrassment right now. His comments in the paper show what a weak person he is. The leader they thought they were getting is nowhere to be found and will not net the two draft picks that they hoped for. Nick Swisher, Jim Thome and Paul Konerko are shells of the players they used to be. Uribe and Crede also proving to be a tad under average major leaguers. Quintin is a lone bright spot as A.J. and Dye are above average guys that can help a team win. The philosophy of hitting has not changed in two years and everyone in baseball has figured it out. These hitters are not goignot change and the team is suseptible from 1 through 9 to the same pattern of pitching.
  21. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 13, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) I believe so. I've thought the last few games Juan's been looking better....at least more disciplined. I am not a Uribe fan but he seems to be a gamer. Joe........seems to run into one once in a while.
  22. Is there really that much of a difference in Juan Uribe and Joe Crede? It's late...I am really leaving now although I will ponder that question.
  23. Just got in. Tonight looks like the 10th pitcher this season to embarass the Sox. I used to list them but I am not that good of a typist. I'll read the thread in the morning. Sad, I used to stay up and watch these games..... The cubs lost to estes.
  24. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:33 AM) Anybody notice in that Kanny box score that Delmarva's second baseman committed 3 errors and has 23 on the season? That is Steve Sax's kid.
