QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 09:20 AM) Player on the Lions kind of just brushes his facemask. Anytime you go close to a qb's helmet though, you are asking for trouble. They are going to call that every time. In real-time it looks like a clear face mask

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 02:56 PM) To be honest it doesnt seem like many even care here in the US. What is up with that? I guess its a good thing because fear isnt spreading? Mass shooting fatigue.

I don't disagree with that. Democrats definitely need to figure out how to get people to pay attention and vote consistently at every level, not just every four years.

You have successfully predicted 142 of the last two recessions though Eta and aren't cheap commodities prices, especially for things as widely used as copper and oil, good for the overall economy? And are junk bonds usually any sort of indicator of the overall economy?

No, it is driven by the people who put guns as their top or only political priority. The Colorado recalls a couple of years back are an excellent example of this: a small but very dedicated minority of voters can control elections especially when there is low turnout. Most people supported something at least as strong as the gun law put forth by Manchin after Sandy hook At the national level, you also have the unequal representation in both the house and Senate that favors rural and conservative policies inherently.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 01:55 PM) I would say the cops that walked into Burger King and deleted the video tried to cover this up Plus the ones that lied about what happened -
QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 10:45 AM) So this has got to be a planned attack for one of the organized terrorist groups right? This doesnt smell one bit like an angry employee going postal. Planned but not necessarily affiliated eg Boston bombers

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 08:10 AM) Its not early bird, SWA still has status flyers at first in line and they will save alot of slots for them (us.) Even when I switch flights I never get above A36 or so. The people waiting to check in right when its time are already behind Biz-Select, A Plus, A and then earlybird. Aplus, A-List get checked in first 36 hours ahead of time based on a convoluted and undisclosed ranking system, but to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any group of boarding spots set aside for later. I've definitely gotten B and even C when doing last-minute changes before, but you do still get to board between the A's and B's in that case. You can get high boarding number check-ins when you switch or check-in late due to other peoples' cancellations and switches--if I switch flights and had an A16 boarding pass, the next person to check in to that same flight will get my A16 slot.

Oh well, what're you gonna do? Can we get back to the important topics of banning refugees and closing mosques and creating religious registries?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 09:13 AM) You know, that's the first blog post/article I've read on this subject the last few years that's pretty level headed and reasonable. No "cops hate black people," no "cops are just evil killers," no pretending that cops don't have legit reasons to fire and fire quickly, etc. Just pointing out that cops keep inserting themselves into dangerous situations where shooting someone becomes the next seemingly reasonable step. I think if you look back to last year, especially at the conversations around Tamir and the guy shot in the Walmart, the subject of deescalation came up frequently. -

Alvarez claims there was a "forensic investigation" but she's not the most credible person right now, either. I'm not sure if any outside agency has looked at it. There's a several different ways that chunks of video could be missing, but it's hard to say without knowing the architecture that they're using and what video management system/DVR they have. Any half-way decent system should have detailed system audit logs available showing any time the system was accessed, settings were changed, video was deleted etc. -

There's allegedly video of the police tampering with the surveillance video from the Burger King, or at least using the system before 86 minutes mysteriously disappeared. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/12/cops-didnt...aquan-mcdonald/ -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 05:03 PM) Lastly, if you really want to know how Rahm operates, remember that the reporter that busted this whole story open was BANNED FROM A PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE INVOLVING THE MAYOR. Banned from the room! Lack of all credibility and accountability? I'd say so. I'm no fan of Rahm, but that's not exactly what happened. The guy who filed the FOIA request in the first place is an uncredentialled journalist (says a lot about the rest of the 'professional' Chicago journalists that didn't pursue this). When Rahm's press conference was announced, he and every other reporter in the city ran to city hall to get in. Space was limited, and reporters without the appropriate credentials weren't let in. I would be surprised if the guys working the doors would even know who this guy was from any other uncredentialled person. As far as they knew, this guy was no different from you or I trying to get into the overcrowded press conference.
