You could call your congressperson and complain about it though. You could hold protests and sit ins and kiss-a-thons and whatever else to voice your displeasure of the US being linked to said backwards country.
But that doesn't happen. That's the point of the meme. Yes, obviously feasibility is an issue. But it's not like you're estopped from doing ANYTHING.
CFA's political donations directly impact American policy and laws. SA stoning people to death does not. It's dumb to try to link the two things. It's only a diversionary tactic meant to dismiss objections without actually addressing them.

Don't they stone to death homosexuals?
I don't know but they're not trying to directly influence American gay-rights politics by funding lobbyist groups as CFA does.
I only buy from Citgo to support Socialist Benevolent Leader Chavez!
It's pretty much all blended together in the various pipelines, tankers and refineries, isn't it?
Wow, another thing that misses the point. It's not because of what he says, it because of what he does. The Saudis aren't funding Focus on the Family to restrict the rights of American homosexuals.
I think this is a good letter-to-the-editor illustrating the differences in mindset between the US and other cultures:

I've posted something in here before about one Louisiana charter school teaching that "Lochness Monster is real therefore evolution is false," but's here's another list of some crazy s*** taxpayer-funded schools will be teaching in Louisiana now:

this is probably the worst but there's other strong contenders:
Oh and one school tried to have mandatory pregnancies tests with expulsion for positive results.
My father took a lower-paying job a few years ago. It was the right move for him because it brought his work-life ratio much more into balance and because their kids were grown up and out of the house. The initial cut in pay was probably similar to what you're looking at, though I believe he's about equal to where he was now.

That's because deflation may be coming, and it's holding the inflation number down...
Probably because of over-expenditures on chicken sandwiches.

lol, I won't stand behind your campaign fictions, no. I will stand behind the numbers.
Can we all agree on a source for the numbers that we can look at in 2013 for total, actual spending in 2012?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 09:03 AM)
I have posted the links multiple times, and their sources are in there.
I can't seem to recall this. Where were the links to? What are the sources for the data?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 08:47 AM)
Of course you won't include this year. It would actually make you even more wrong than you were to start with. Even though my numbers are coming from the same federal sources you are using...
