QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 02:22 AM) Sounds very familiar... Not really. Guillen's play shouhldn't have been an error, he wouldn't have have him. ORdonez and Perez screwed up, yes.

Carlos Guillen strained his hamstring. Jones may very well be hurt as well. Some shaky defense cost them the game tonight.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) The Tigers took Nook Logan off of their 40 man roster. He was DFA'ed. He sucked. Couldn't do anything but run.

Tigers call up #1 pick
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) Well they havent had a winning season since when early 90's? You know the same team that offered Juan Gonzalez that huge deal and grossly overpaid for Magglio. So I wouldnt exactly call them a good organization yet but they are definitely getting there. If they prove this season wasnt a fluke and do it again next season that will help a bunch. Most of that was the Randy Smith era, who was horrible! With Dave Dombrowski at the helm now, they are now a good organization.

Inge not being good is total bull. Watch him play. But anyway, Craig Monroe is clutch.

Tigers call up #1 pick
It was a verbal agreement, not actually written in his contract. He did well today.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 04:08 PM) As good as Detroit's pitching and clutch hitting have been, their defense has been absolutely wretched this season. Guillen is the only one that has been horrible. Ordonez and Thames not good either.

Just kept pounding the ball into the ground.. To the guy who asked why DMeat was third- He plays against righties, and Pudge is dropped down because Dmitri is more of a power threat than him. It has been like this for a couple weeks now.

Rafael Soriano
He was hit in a line drive Tuesday night. He had no chance to get out of the way. Somehow he only has a concussion and no fractures.

QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) On my package TEAM 1 is 441 while the other game channels are 461-470. I must not have the same package, because my Extra Innings channels are 875-884. Oh well.

GAME THREAD: Devil Rays @ Sox, 7:05pm
Can anyone with Extra Innings help me out? For this game it says TEAM 1, and I have absolutely no idea what that is.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) Oh he's the real deal but bringing someone up just months after being drafted could prove to be a huge mistake. And yes I know that he has that clause in his contract but there is a possibility that this callup could really hinder his development. True. I don't believe Boras is his agent.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) Andrew Miller is getting a callup in time for the Yankee series after pitching five innings in the minors. There was a stipulation in his contract which required a 2006 callup. He's the real deal. I think he can do well.

Tigers needed a game like this. Not a laugher, but not real stressful.

**8/26 Game Thread! SOX vs. twins
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Then why won't you be able to stand hearing it one more time? I usually don't mute it at the beginning. Never mind. I'm digging myself a hole here.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) Similar to how I can no longer stand announcers having orgasms in the booth about rally gum. Okay...? Mute your TV then..like I did eventually.

I'll watch this on Extra Innings, because I won't be able to stand "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD! YES!!" even one more time.
