Speaking of Banana work pants, you can get coupons to get them at 40% off on every Wednesday of this month.

I'm sort of afraid to ask what a "head shop" is...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 02:02 PM) Every man comes to a point later on in life where he looks back and says to himself "I wish I would have stabbed more chicks with my penis." I dont intend on having those regrets. Assuming you don't contract syphillis.

QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) "Do these jeans make my ass look fat?" "No. Your ass makes those jeans look fat". I believe it is "No, your ass makes your ass look fat."

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) Well the jean brand in and of itself isnt going to scream metrosexual. It would depend more on the cut and style of the pant. My comment was more a generalization of the stores, and well a cheap shot at my friend who has started to wear a scarf because quite frankly it just looks ridiculous. Its my opinion, and this thread is about opinions. This isn't Russia, is it, Denny?

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 11:36 AM) I'll be working weeknights too That's the price of working in sports. Then at work on your desk.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) Unfortunately, I'm going into a career which will have me working most weekends. So yeah... Then weeknights....don't kid yourself...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 11:10 AM) They prob already have a good idea that something is going on. Leave the door open during sex and they'll get the idea. Or just go at it on the couch.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) I do not know his age. Hah, I wasn't referring to his age... He just doesn't strike me as the guy who rolls into Banana...

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 10:45 AM) I'm a 34 waste. Shop at Express and Banana Republic vs Kohl's. You can find sales where jeans will be like $50 vs $90/$100. Banana Republic jeans are by far my favorite, and you can get them in really contemporary styles and colors. Express is good for a looser pair of jeans. Just don't get any girly super tight ones. The new Banana Republic straight leg jeans are awesome. That said, I have a hard time seeing Southside Don rocking them.

QUOTE (MEANS @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 07:10 AM) a few guys here at work started this about 4 weeks ago, i just started this week, it's pretty tough but i feel better already. I'll keep you posted. I am thinking of getting it after I finish P90X. Can you do it in your home? The infomercial looks like they do it in a gym, and perhaps rightfully so, it looks like you're moving around like a wildman...

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 01:54 AM) He was talking about projected range and such. If we're talking about the future, Mitchell has much better tools to be the better outfielder. He's just much more athletic and his range should be greater than Danks'. I thought I recalled reading somewhere that Danks would make us forget about BA and his defense...

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) The girl and Guy A are from the same hometown and have lived with each other the past two years in two different houses. No romantic interest, but they've been friends for awhile. Guy B was a friend of Guy A in the dorms, and since we're at college, became the friend of the rest of us. I was friends with the girl before moving in, but wasn't particularly close. Interest sparked up last month on a roadtrip we all took, and continued and evolved into a serious relationship last weekend after some chats. Now we just don't know how to bring up the topic to the other guys Interesting. So it's fair to assume that you don't believe Guy A or Guy B will have an issue with the two of you dating? I would do one of two things. I would just come out and tell them at the same time, perhaps at dinner, while the four of you are watching a movie, or doing something you all typically do together; or I would just let them find out for themselves. It's not your duty to make an announcement, and I think it's going to be a bit weird for them no matter how they find out. So it's just however the two of you feel most comfortable.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 12:16 AM) This is certainly an odd question (and I definitely never expected to be asking it on an online forum), but anyone have suggestions for telling roommates that you're dating another of the roommates? I live with two guys and a girl, and the girl and I have decided to start dating. Of course, now neither of us know how to even start telling the other two guys. Any thoughts? Well explain how you all know eachother first.

Really pushed myself hard in plyo tonight. It was a bit tough after only 4.5 hours sleep and a 12 hour busy shift today. Then really pushed hard on top of it. Drank a bit too big of a gulp of water after the 4th set and almost puked during the 5th set and the sports extra, but made it through. Feeling really really dizzy here....oh boy.... And Blake, definitely look into hitting this up. The endorphins your body creates will really make you feel better about yourself.

QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:47 PM) Keep in mind that the Score is just as much in the business of making news as it is reporting it. Oh sure, I was just asking if this was being reported. I am not in town anymore and am at work so I can't listen to the webcast.

QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) Everyone says Coop fixed them, or Coop can fix them. All I asked is what did he do to fix them? I'll drop it though. No, you claimed he only improved the performance of 1 pitcher, and failed with several others. The proof is in the pudding. There is nothing more we can really provide you without being on staff.
-
QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 11:59 AM) I gave Cooper credit for Thornton. It's been documented that he made changes in his delivery. I haven't seen any documented changes for any of the other mentioned players though. "Documented changes"? He's a f***ing baseball coach, not an attorney.
-
QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) It's not Coopers fault for any of these pitchers downfalls, nor do I think he should get credit for fixing them because they succeeded. Does anyone actually get my point? No. You tried to post something new and insightful and it backfired on you because it was a completely ridiculous point to try and make.

I work a job where I work a rotating shift and I came into the office this week to work days for the first time in several weeks with the regular folks. You should see the reaction...I think every woman in this office is looking on beachbody.com right now. That's part of what makes all of this worth it.
-
QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) I have to disagree with you that he has done a great job with other reclamation projects. I think he has had more failures than successes. Successes: Thornton Failures: Linebrink Jenks (keeps regressing) Aardsma Sisco Cotts MacDougal Masset Polite Contreras I'm not blaming him for the failures as much as showing you that his ability to "fix" people is overblown. He turned Contreras into a freaking Cy Young winner for one full year, basically.

I'm not so much saying the posters in this thread are condemning them. I mean more the general outrage and commentary that occurs from the public. The news shows, talk radio, message boards in general, water cooler chat, etc

I am being texted by a friend in Chicago that the Score is reporting the Sox are in "serious talks" with the Padres about a Beckham for AGon swap. You guys hearing this?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 08:35 AM) The country is absolutely overrun with people who have such bad alcohol problems that it interferes with their work and they have to spend three months in a clinic? Really? Let's be honest. The clinic he went to was to rehabilitate his image. And yes, under the definition we are operating under, there are a whole s***load of alcoholics in this country. Who among us has never showed up to work hungover? Who among us has never stayed out later than anticipated and had a few more drinks than they should have on a night when they should have been home in bed? Our culture celebrates alcohol in this country, and so unless you exhibit the most riduclous behavior in regards to drinking, no one really calls much attention to it. However, anytime someone DOES have an incident occur, such as a DUI, or something like Cabrera did, we all like to get on our high horses and condemn them and judge them. Meanwhile those same people are out getting plastered at happy hour on Thursday after work and showing up still drunk Friday morning at work.
