This is where I’m at. Line up your top arms for tomorrow and let the A’s do their typical playoff choke job (like the Twins just did).

Always thought this series was going 3 games. The pitching decisions tomorrow should be very interesting for both sides. I still feel good about the Sox’ chances tomorrow.

Melvin is such a great manager in the regular season but every postseason it seems he trades places with Ricky Renteria.

Basically have three guys capable of playing CF, two of which play it really well, covering the three positions. I love if.

Yes. To me having that defensive alignment is more important than Eloy not being available because you know if he was available Ricky would put him in LF. This will be a low scoring series and I want my best defensive alignment out there in this huge ballpark. Can’t give away outs/runs this series. The only way I see the Sox losing the series is if they beat themselves.

White Sox/A's-- Pre-series Discussion
We’ll find out early. If he struggles, it’s typically the first inning.

9/27 GT: Cubs @ Sox (2:10pm)
Houston in Chicago was the best matchup possible. And everything aligned For that to occur except for shitty Sox pitching today.

This one hurts only because a win would have led to the perfect first round matchup - Astros

I swear to god if he lets nomar hit...

Has to be McCann

Since Ricky won’t play Grandal and McCann together on a regular basis, who would you rather start at catcher in the playoffs? I think it’s a no brainer but I know who Ricky will pick.

So many here treat baseball like football
As I said the other night after the 10-0 loss, this team is still capable of a deep playoff run. But I also sympathize with those that are concerned. Hahn has to improve in free agency moving forward. Signing Bauer would a great compliment to last winter’s Keuchel signing but please no more washed up DHs, RF or RP.

Thought someone said yesterday Sox lose tiebreaker to Oakland? Would LOVE to play Astros at home first round.

9/26 GT: Cubs @ Sox (6:10pm)
It’s really not difficult. I’d be shocked if Abreu doesn’t win by a fair margin.
-

Nah. Abreu wins it easily.

Why?

That would be my ideal scenario. Sox win the division and #3 seed to get the Astros at home. That’s the best possible first round matchup but unfortunately with Oakland dropping a DH today not going to happen

And the Yankees are 11-18 on the road this season.

Easily Yankees at home.

Why? Much rather play NYY at home than Oakland or Minnesota on the road.

Which postseason opponent would you prefer?
