that was messed up. A buddy of mine from Cleveland called me to tell me to turn on Fox to see the replay. wow. As much as I hate the Cubs, I hope the dude is okay.

it was Raphael Palmiero, not Dave Martinez. Martinez was with the Cubs after Ryne Sandberg. The Cubs traded away Palmiero and went with Mark Grace at first base.

1994- strike team. I am convinced if we held off Cleveland, which was gaining on us as the strike loomed, we would have gone to the series. We may not have won the series since Atlanta was such a smoking hot team, but we would have gotten there.

it all has to happen for us to do it....if it is not one thing, it is another. in every game, there is always something that lacks so we can't get the W. Loaiza pitched a great game Tuesday. no run support so we lost. Last night, we put on 3 runs in the ninth, w/no outs....s***ty baserunning cost us the game. The last game of the Cleveland series, horrible pitching by Gordon and Koch and great work by Val dropping a fly ball cost us the game, in a game we actually had run support.
