Noticed there is a billboard across the street from Sox Park which reads: We're with you Liam. Pretty nice gesture. Best wishes to Liam.

I like the move. They actually spent money on a good player who filled a HUGE need.

Every single MLB franchise is stronger because they all collectively reap the benefits of the teams that do spend money. Teams that win. TV money, Advertisements, Concessions, Parking - it makes it almost impossible not to turn a big profit. Thats why the Sox and every single team is stronger. Its not because Reinsdorf did something. He is a smart business man who had the money to buy a team and now is reaping the benefits. The measure of a successful franchise is winning. That's why they play the game. And the Sox haven't won enough, period. There is a reason why teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, Padres, Astros, etc are constantly in the playoffs. They spend money to win.

Good stewards, how? By being mediocre in the third largest city in the country? The only playoff series this group has won was in 05. The ownership group has been pathetic. The only thing they are stable at is underachieving.

I don't believe that is what they said. If I recall correctly the report was that they were the favorites, not the finalists. Shortly after that report Bochy said the Sox had not even contacted him yet.

Beltran, AJP, Joe Maddon, anyone but TLR.

Yeah what this guy said. Its not like any of them won a WS with the White Sox. ?

I will be returning and keeping my title. ?
