  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) Good call.......kinda. Common give me some props, I called it early.
  2. QUOTE(Reddy @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) it looked like something in the lower leg though... I think I did call hamstring
  3. Well I know I am Mr. Gloom and doom, but Cotts really needs to be sent down, he needs to work on things, this type of game is perfect for Adkins, he can work three innings. No matter what cotts does, he is a risk in a close game
  4. Well greinke has to be getting high on pitches, maybe one more inning and he will be out. Lets hold the lead here, and get a base runner or two next inning and he is bye bye...I hope.
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) No one was paying attention to him yesterday. Maybe he was hoping for the same result today. We were holding him on today.. Makes no sense because he has no speed.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) My initial impression was that it might have been an achilles strain. I think he'll be ok though, as he seemed to be getting better quickly after it happened. I am calling Hammstring
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Good pitch to Stairs there. Contreras should be out of the inning if not for this s***ty umpire. The 0-2 to DeJesus caught the entire plate. Well lets not blame it all on the umpire, his pitch sucked to a hitter that won't hit alot of HR's. I understand your point but good number 3 pitchers over come this stuff by making good pitches.
  8. contraras will now go into a deep mental funk. Here come the walks and the runners on base.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 11:19 PM) Ugh, Konerko is striking out way too often now. All you have to do is throw him a slider on the outside corner. same with Rowand
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) Greink has a 12-6 curveball sicker that an old man with pneumonia. This is way over my head...what does this sentence mean.
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Garciaparra is now "The Groin". you mean the missing groin
  12. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) Mike, there is a big wine/liquor store just over the border into Michigan, on the Red Arrow Highway. You'll find just about anything you'll want at that place, I'm sorry I can't come up with the name. There's also a pretty good liquor store in New Buffalo. If all else fails, find the biggest grocery store around you and you'll find most of the interesting beers Kid Gleason discussed. Bell's beers are made in Kalamazoo and readily available in your area. The wit or white beer they make is excellent, although not always available. There are two places over the border, obviously not far from you at all, in New Buffalo where you will always find something interesting on tap, one place is right smack downtown New Buffalo, I want to say it's called Casey's ... it is a bar/restaurant. The other place is a few blocks from downtown New Buffalo, I believe on Business 12, something like Black Dog Tavern ... anyways it has "dog" in the title. They have several interesting choices on tap. Hoegarden is a great wit beer on tap, can't say I've had it in the bottle. I like Blue Moon well enough but not as much as you do. We have a beer called Ebel Weiss around here (western suburbs) and there's a place near the ballpark which has it on draft ... a recent find of mine called Skylark (22nd and Halsted). If you like Blue Moon you will love this. Would be happy to buy you one if we are ever attending the same game. The wife and I take day trips to the dunes and New Buffalo quite often, I will do a little detective work when we go and find you a few places to hit. I am sorry to keep this lengthy thread going with beer talk ... but it seems to be common ground in this crowd! Note to quickman: I know you're reading this, you suck for not liking Regal Brau. Please come and clear out the regal brau from my fridge. Its taking up too much room.
  13. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:27 PM) Are you nuts, or what? Lantern = great last nite. Brickhouse = great tonite. Long live Rolling Rock. PS - Are you nuts, or what? Why must you live in bar all the time, tonight equals meatloaf, mashes and corn on the cob.
  14. QUOTE(Beastly @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) The wrath? Oh god, fear the wrath of Terry...ahh..run... Surprisingly a good post by a teenager. Seriously I think you hit on the idea of the thread. Just be aware of your surroundings and act respectful. yuo will be upstairs alot now, I am interested in your viewpoint as to the difference as the year plays itself out. Furthermore you can make a difference to others in how you act.
  15. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Or face the wrath of Quick. Well at least you know your place in this world.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) The Twins ARE the class of the division, until proven otherwise. He's reasons for the Sox failing were what showed his lack of knowledge. This is true and I completely agree. These sportscenter guys have been saying the same thing for years, every year people crow on this board that they don't know what they are talking about. Right now they are the favorites becaus ehtye have won. We need to prove to everyone that we are better, nobody is just going to give us anything.
  17. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) You misspelled it, you meant to say "man of the peephole". Get it right, you know exactly what I'm sayin'. ouch that hurt, got my hand caught in the zipper again...stop yourself, PTAC, you do know that they serve PBR on tap at the park. its all good.
