  1. Now they are calling it a broken bone just updated.
  2. maybe that is why Mcarthy went six innings yesterday.
  3. PS he hurt it shagging fly balls during batting practice yesterday.
  4. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) Ok, someone get the story straight please. How did it happen? what is the injury excatly? MRI yet? if not, when? whatever time frame they give us, you can tack on 2 more weeks to it. I'm gonna be sick. you know I resent the fact that you think the story is not correct. Let me try english this time. preliminary report as indicated by Bruce Levine states that buerhle has either a torn ligiment or a break in the foot. they do not know anything else, and he was told that he will miss the opener and be out 2-6 weeks depending on the severity, which they will update today. For those of you who would rather hear the same report on your own please log onto www.am1000.com. then you can report to others the straight story.
  5. this happened yesterday, the white Sox need to make a statement. They have one of the better medical hospitals in the country right there in U of A.
  6. bruce on right now. Preliminary report is ligment damage or a small break. More to come.
  7. Personally we should not have our starting pitchers shaggin fly balls. isn't that why we ahve all those s***ty minor leagers? This is totally unecessary.
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) I head on ESPN 1000 that it might justbe a sprain though, where did they say that it was a tear??? Keep listening, they just said it.
  9. ESPN is now saying torn ligament as well. He was shagging fly balls yesterday and tore it.
  10. If the ligament is torn it will be two months. He will need to rehab after it heals. This is not good for two reasons, One is he is pitching great, the other is we play division rivals the first month and need a decent start. As good as bmac has been, he is still 21 and will be very nervous playing in a big stadium agiasnt division rivals.
  11. ESPN 1000 is breaking the story. buerhle will not Start opening and will be out. This is extremely depressing.
  12. What does that mean. Bruce Levine just reported he broke his foot
  13. Just heard on ESPN radio Mark broke his foot yesterday. Unreal
  14. It really doesn't matter who is pitching does it?
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) Sosa will either plead the 5th or lie and perjure himself. I don't see him admitting to using steroids but I would be shocked if he did. I don't even think he is a citizen of the US. There is no proof so why not lie. he will lie. Even if he gets caught in a lie 5 years later he won't be here. He will be in his own country. he will lie. Mcquire will plead the fifth.
  16. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 03:19 AM) I can't help but be curious as to mainly how Sosa wil answer. He's lied about so many things already (Cork, Cubs issues, etc). Heck, I looked at my old baseball cards of him, and when he started out, man, the guy was built and looked like a broom handle with arms and legs. With his over-inflated ego, I wonder if he'll somehow not ell the truth and find yet another way to weasel out from admitting guilt, without getting burned. He will take the fifth and so will Mcquire and palmario. There is no doubt in my mind.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) I don't know about a fat chick, but the way you two go back and forth I would swear you two were involved It all started when he followed me home from the movies one night. Crazy isn't it, he is like an old lady sometimes.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 06:05 PM) Naaa... he's got the girl. She ain't heavy she's my sister
  19. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) No comparison to the peace and quiet of Arizona. I saw your comments on Arnie Munoz by the way, riveting stuff. In fact yeah ... that was her name ... Ernesto Munoz. Maybe his mom or something? Its pretty consistant with the majority of the Whitesox minor leaguers. They blow. Pretty black and white. Not a big fan of our minor league system.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) You can't be serious..... :rolly I don't memorize the whitesox brass, and obviously he doesn't know about his ballplayers, or Jim made up the whole story, which he is prone to do when he name drops his way through a thread. I know Gilbert Osullivan- does he count?
  21. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) Back on topic ... The 3/8 online edition of Chicago Sports.Com had a one liner saying Borchard has one minor league option left. Hope that's true and hope Dennis Gilbert had a brain cramp. Well there you go, get your fat facts straight before you go starting threads. Do you realize the peacefulness we have had the past week? PS the kids loved the wristbands and made you a thank you card.
  22. I am certain one of these factual kid types will come up with the real answer which I know is true.
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) I really don't know for a fact. I do know I read it in a Chicago paper website. Ahh don't worry about it, i know you and I are right, if you keep responding though I am certain Jim will Find you a fat chick. He's good like that.
  24. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) Don't know why I should tell you, it will probably be wrong anyways. Dennis Gilbert is the special assistant to Reinsdorf. He was a big time player agent a number of years ago, lives in LA and/or Phoenix. He helps the Sox with contract issues, labor stuff, etc. It's in your media guide. Sitting right in front of me were KW, Rick Hahn, Reinsdorf, and Dennis Gilbert. Chatted with all of them. None of them knew you, by the way. You guys were obviously throwing back a few miller lights. you love name dropping.
