QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) Agree, ouch. It is now looking like Hermanson is the emergency starter and they'd bring someone up from the minors to fill a bullpen spot if necessary. They need some starting pitching depth ... There is still time. we will get someone during spring training

Maggs real health status from him and his agent
quickman replied to SoxFan562004's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) The only thing is, Maggs has an incentive to play thru the pain this season, in order to guarantee his future. With Frank, it could be his last season here, and I don't think at his age, he'd want to rush back from injury to jeopardise his future. Whats even more interesting to me is Maggs geting upset that the sox didn't offer him arbitration. What an asswipe. The guy just got cleared to run and we were suppose to offer this maggot arbitration. Why? Because he was a whitesox. Total crap. Let the tigers ahve him. I would be shocked if he is ever the same. In the long run I think the Sox will be proven they did the right thing. -
QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:23 AM) That can be arranged! I am a wheat beer affecianado. Ah here we go.

QUOTE(ptatc @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) Anytime, as one poster alluded to, we athletic trainers love to spin the tales. I have the weekend 27 game package. I ahve the full package, We can hook up, jim most likely will be there as well. I have a stadium Club pass, so maybe we can meet up there for some cold ones. Love to hear the tales.

QUOTE(ptatc @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:08 AM) Yes, I currently live in the south suburbs and I am a season ticket holder section 162 row 1 I too, Section 125, maybe we can hook up one day I would be interested in hearing more on your views. Welcome to the board.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) I told that story to the bride, she was mortified. "How can you take a bat to a bobblehead doll? What's the matter with you, are you nuts?" and assorted other moralistic sermony type discussion. I told her, "I want to take a bat to it because it will f*** up the toilet for sure." My reaction after that line = Her reaction after that line = Nice, I will be burning mine in the first bon fire this spring.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) I agree with you Fredo. The bobblehead was removed from the bar today. When does it get the bat?

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) Yes, your honor, I confess ... I did it. He was the best new addition since ... when did you sign up again? Yes I agree a great new poster since I joined. Now on to magglio being the enemy. He is now dead to me.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) ptatc, yes, curiosity is the order of the day here, I agree with Margaret Hamilton's question. Glad to have you here regardless, stick around. Being an athletic trainer I'm sure you also have a sense of humor. Whatever you do though, don't give quickman the Ruby Slippers ... he wants those badly. Ahh nice edit, doesn't have the same effect the second time. Looks like you scared him off.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) You can spot talent all right, but you always manage to scare it away. Oh my God, that was WAY too easy! PTATC- Pay no attention to the man behind the JimH Curtain. He comes from the land of oz. Another question if I may. Are you a sox fan or just a baseball fan. Doesn't matter I am just curious how you found the site and your affiliation with baseball today.

QUOTE(ptatc @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) I am a physical therapist and athletic trainer. I've spent time in the Brewers and Marlins systems doing athletic training and research. Well now you see, I can always spot talent. Thanks for the posts. Are You local?

Ok I am now caught up on this thread. I am older than many on this board and no longer carry attachments to players. I carry an insane attachment to the team. The issue is quite simple to me, Maggs is no longer on this team, he is playing for a division rival, when he was here he was great and I cheered for him and supported him. I respect him as a pro player, simular to respecting any great player, but he is now playing for the enemy. He is the enemy, and I will no longer be routing for him ever. He had his chance to resign and didn't take it. Its his choice, he chose, he gone, and I am gone as a fan of him. He will never receive another cheer from me again unless he comes back and plays for the team I am routing for. Its really that simple to me.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) WOW, ptatc, you got the quickman Seal of Approval, that doesn't happen easily. Wait a minute, I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It never happens! The guy is brand new and he makes sense. Great combination. Wait till next week though.

QUOTE(ptatc @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) He did have the surgery in Germany but the rehab was done in the US with a physical therapist. Usually only the physicians get the credit but anyone who has had back surgery especially when it has progressed to the point where there is muscular atrophy the rehab is also very important. However your point is well taken. Many of the more famous physician are outside of the US partly due to the freedom they have to do procedures not approved in the US. Alright come clean, what part of the medical field are you in?

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Great post, concise and to the point. Please post more. Amen to the new guy! A man of reason.

QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) Considering how the Cubs & WGN are both owned by the Chicago Tribune tells me they won't be leaving there anytime soon. Also, the team usually on WGN or WCIU meant the other was on Fox Sports Net (now Comcast Sportsnet), so no conflictions will occur there. WGN will still carry games. From What I heard, WCIU is out of the picture totally. comcast will have sportsnet plus if there is a conflict and both games are on comcast.

QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) Pardon my ignorance, but where is Willsy doing play by play next year? See thread Dave Wills...he gone
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) i dont know...thats what i heard.. Melissa, Dave did not leave because he couldn't critisize the sox. he left to do play by play which he once did for the Kane County Cougars. Its what he wants to do. Play by play in the MLB is a big deal. Pre and post game host is not quite as big.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) So is DJ potentially gone? Drugs Kill
