  1. After his performance tonight, I don't want Gavin going anywhere. He came up incredibly huge in the biggest game of the season up to this point.
  2. I was going to bring up his name too but I was thinking more about for next year since he clearly has talent and injuries derailed his major league stints. Then again I am always looking for the next Carlos Quentin now and we probably won't find another one.
  3. Can't you teach plate discipline or is he a lost cause?
  4. I was just thinkin about Baldelli in terms of a buy low hope for him to avoid injury and be the player everyone thought he could be like Carlos
  5. I'll take sheets and rocco baldelli. And maybe O'dawg
  6. just the first of many impressive performances by upchurch
  7. Indianapolis beat Charlotte 8-3 rough stretch since I predicted a Knights playoff birth a few weeks ago Fields didnt play Haeger not exactly lights out(6.1 inn 5 er) now 8-9 Birmingham beat Mississippi 11-6 Brandon Allen Train 0-3 2bbs sb Cruz 2 hrs 4 barons with 3 hits Poreda bad(3.2 3er 4bb) Texieras first appearence at aa 1.1 0 runs Winston Salem beat Salem 3-0 Ely 5 innings 0 runs Retherford rbi single Kannapolis no game Bristol won 3-2 Silverio 1-3 2ks Paniagua 7 innings 1 run
  8. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) I thought they had a AA shortstop considered to be untouchable who they held in higher regard than LaPorta? They do, Alcides Escobar. But they have another middle infield prospect whos even more untouchable... Brent Brewer
  9. Mediocre at best through 2 outings but I am very excited about this guy. Also he's from the town i was born in (Mobile) so it gives me extra incentive to pull for him
  10. Even if Ramirez keeps hitting like he has, there's a chance he doesn't finish in the top three in Rookie of the Year voting. So, like the rest of the White Sox, the "Cuban Missile" will continue to fly under the radar. ^my favorite part that play was unreal. there really is no ceiling for this guy
  11. Pumped to see Clayton Richard's debut. Hopefully his amazing whip and k/bb from aaa will carry over into the majors and he can be another lefty stud with a number in the 50's for the sox
  12. Why does mike have to be from tinley park?
  13. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 12:38 AM) Cole is a big strong kid. He's got light tower power, but not a good average hitter. I believe Ozzie was very high on him this spring. Probably gonna be the backup catcher next year if he keeps hitting this well. Hes also hitting 444 for the 3 weeks hes been in charlotte
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 09:58 AM) I don't buy this Jon Rauch to the Sox talk. Nothing would shock me more. If they bring him back, they might as well bring back Paniagua (that is how disliked Rauch was by the organization and it happened long before Kenny went off on him when Rauch left the game early). Nice product placement.
  15. Gerst pinch hit and struck out so hes probably not injured.
  16. How do you know he doesnt want to be here?
  17. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 03:46 PM) That is alarming though that so many fans want to sign Crede to a long term deal. He's an above average all-around 3B with a history of back problems and will demand every penny this winter. I'm thinking he'll want like a 4-5 year deal at about 8-10 million per. If some team wants that than fine. I"ll take Fields and his 325,000 and spend that other 8-10 million somewhere else. Ben Sheets!
  18. C- Chris Widger 1B- Leo Daigle 2B- Jose Valentin 3B- Greg Norton SS- Mike Caruso LF- Darin Erstad CF- Joe Borchard RF- Tom Collaro DH- Brian Daughbach Util- Andy Gonzalez SP- David Wells, Todd Richie, Danny Wright, Jon Rausch, Rocky Biddle SU- David Aardsma, Mike McDougal, Andrew Sisco CL- Billy Koch
  19. I'm all for improving the team anyway possible and if that means benching/cutting paulie or uribe then fine. But I have a big problem with any alleged sox fan talking s*** about either of them. They helped us win a f***ing world series so theres no way any sox fan should ever hate either of them
  20. Cook down to 268 knights on fire though
  21. The Twins always give us problems even if they arent good. We beat the Tigers regularly. Gimme the Tigers
  22. Richard 6-0 in 6 starts. whip under one and 6/1 k/bb ratio. number 5 starter next year!
