Is there any point where we have spent enough money, had enough soldiers killed? Will we ever need Troops in other ereas of the world? I've been making presentations for them, encouraging donations via payroll donations. Someone asked how I could stand up four or five times a day and ask people for money. The looks on peoples faces when they see all the groups they are helping with their donations is priceless. This morning a Department head at the school I was visiting stood up and shared how several UW agencies helped her twenty years ago when she fled a domestic abuse situation. From emergency shelter, to food and clothing, UW agencies were there for her. All I had to do after that was tell them how to fill out the form.

The more I think about this, the better the teaching moment becomes. And I really like the blue shirt solution. Son, you do not have to cheer, but respect that they are enjoying winning, and don't piss on it. Their enjoyment doesn't mean you lose. Wow. If only a few religions, political parties, and other ideologs would understand that.

When you read or hear someone of good character and intelligence say something you find unfathomable, what do you do? Do you even give it a second thought? The Vick dog fighting thing has me thinking. I found comments by Sanders, Whoopie and others to be so off base, so wrong, I could not image anyone actually saying them. Similar to some of the Mr. KapCleveland2k5 posts I've read through the years. My reflex is always to try and figure out why they believe that. I know they aren't uneducated, amoral, fools, so there must be some underlying logic. So I ask, does anyone even pause and try to understand the other side? I know that asking questions and probing around here usually ends in an argument, but there are other places to research.
