  1. If they are found without steroids in their system, they will immediately bend over and have one injected.
  2. At first I thought it said the Voice of Greed, and I thought Boras cut a rap album.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) I know plenty of hunters in the Chicago area. Plenty of people in this area hunt, I dont understand why you think its a fact that Chicagoans arent outdoorsman, SF1? Opportunities for hunting near home are non existent for city dwellers. Chicagoans (the city proper) have a huge opportunity for fishing in their backyards. But, as a percentage of the population, you will find more hunters in rural and semi-rural areas than on the 25th floor of a downtown condominium. That isn't to say there are not anti-hunters in Manhattan, Illinois and avid hunters in Manhattan, New York.
  4. http://scottstapp.netcentrixllc.com/produc...ppemail_112105h I know I allowed mlb to send me offers, but I assumed they would be baseball related. Why is MLB pimping Scott Stapp cds?
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) See, this question would make a lot more sense if Iraq was anywhere close to our own level of crime. But when tens of thousands of its citizens are being murdered every year out of a population less than California, even getting their crime rate down remotely close to where the crime rate in the U.S. currently is would be an incredible accomplishment. tens of thousands, where did you get that number?
  6. Iraq? A couple dozen replies Sex with a Dummy? A dozen replies FOOD! 100 replies and counting, and that's just for subs.

  9. Hello It's Me may be the best male vocals I have ever heard. Something about his voice on that one just touches me, and not in that Chris and the old man down the street who he mowed the lawn for when he broke the window, sort of way*. *Family Guy reference.
  10. At what point are we being the biggest, baddest, police force in the world and when are we being an Army? Are we trying for zero crime before leaving? We don't have that in the US. There is no Army in the traditional sense to fight.
  11. QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) and i resent music snob title in this... I couldn't spell connosouser close enough for the spell checker to find it :banghead Sorry. :rolly
  12. Season started here. Too warm still. Too expensive. A decent lease will set you back $2,500 and up per rifle. No public hunting to speak of. No friendly farmers that are begging you to take deer off their fields. Ferrel hogs are fun, but most just trap them. I am planning an archery trip for hogs early next year.
  13. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) Not only that, but I'm picking Texas over USC in the championship game. UT's running attack will keep Bush and Leinart off the field more often than any other game this season that USC has played. Texas is one of the very few teams that can almost match them talent wise. My whole point was that without Bush, there's still not gonna be a USC demise in the cards, as long as Carroll is still there. I am certainly biased because I see a lot of Texas coverage and games, but I honestly think this season, based on what has happened on the field, Texas would be ranked #1 *if* USC did not have the steeak going from last year. I also agree that USC should have to lose on the field before dropping from the #1 perch. Baring some monumental upset, it should be one great lead up to the game. But doesn't it always seem to go that a big, huge match up like this is over by halftime?
  14. When you generally dislike a group/artist, and you find that one song that you do like, is it a deep album cut or a most popular. Example, Greatful Dead, Touch of Gray or something else? Todd Rudgren, Hello it's Me or something else? Beatles, Hey Jude or something else?

QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) Link was actually 3/4 Shawnee Indian. He met a Danish girl who was studying American Indian culture, they fell in love and got married. This was around 1979. Thanks, that makes sense. I remember listening to Rumble in a High School class and thinking how the hell did we get from that to Who are You? I was too music illiterate to ever see the influences.

I wonder how/why he wound up in Denmark
  17. Texsox replied to Steff's topic in SLaM
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) You mean you bothered to read that? Steff always has good links, I almost never miss one.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) Well if its any consolation, the schools here year in year out demand more money from the taxpayers and everyyear it gets voted down with ease. None of them want to give the schools here any more funding. To be honest, I don't blame them, I think in a lot of instances people think throwing money at the school systems solves things, but quite frankly I think its how you spend the money and I think a lot of school systems could use some help with that. And that is the problem as I see it. One one end in Texas you have Highland Park, TX where they required a PhD to teach science; at the south end there is Progresso school district, that just last year, could afford new Social Science books that show the break up of the Soviet Union. Same state. Which student will get the better education?
  19. If it's the only time all year they would be invited to dinner, no expectation should be implied. If they are regular visitors, I'd feel compelled. If they have nothing nice to say about anyone, they can sit next to me.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) LOL! That would take them from a dying breed to a completely DEAD breed. Then you would be very pissed, I'd have to run on a GOP ticket based on litmus test issues like abortion, national debt, gun laws, school vouchers . . .
  21. IMNSHO, neither party really care about issues for issue sake, they only wish to score debate points and get elected. So if being pro-ABC and anti-123 achieves that goal, then that's their platform. Statesmen are a dying breed.
  22. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) anybody that knows anything about politics would be bright enough to realize that the parties have done a polar opposite switch over the past 150 years. The ideals of the old Democratic party would allign themselves closer to the Republican Party of today (and visa versa) But... nice try. And I'm guessing at some point they will switch again.
  23. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) I bet you we end up there before the end of 2006. Realistically, how many Iraqi soldiers would it take to replace 100 US soldiers? I honestly think 200-250. I base this on training, equipment, tradition, corruption, and a few other factors.
  24. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) And I think they are too... just not with some magical date that you all want. I'd like to see some timetable that involved milestones, not dates on the calendar. Reduce one American for every 2 Iraqi soldiers trained, for example. And I think 2 Iraqi to one Nuke may be an understatement Maybe 3:1?
