Kid, your gut is right, there is a reason that one is the regular A game, and one is the career back up. In a team sport, individuals are sometimes given more or less credit and blame then they deserve.

With people stranded and dying, the oil slicks are not a high priority. I'm as much of an environmental wacko as they come, and even I can see that. There are groups monitoring the beaches here, looking for signs of oil. This tragedy will ripple out for quite a while longer I fear.

mlb link The guy is amazing. I've been really following his season down here in Texas. He should be a 20 game winner. They have been shut out in 8 of his starts and he has a .77 ERA in those games. RIP Mrs. Clemens you raised a hell of a kid.

That seems like a fair rule. It's not the same as an outfield play when the ball is in play. This is a "dead ball" situation. Interesting, I wonder if someone needed to look that one up. It is amazing what the umpires need to know.

I'd rather be 5 up than even. I really would rather be 5 up than 5 down. No worries mate. I'm enjoying this little bit of tension in the final weeks. Hopefully just enough to keep everyone sharp and focused.
