Since there wasn't formal scoring in the debates and Bush has been working the past four years, I would say he won the debates. Debates are not Dubya's strength but all he has to do this time is look Presidential and keep it to a draw. As long as he doesn't say something monumentally stupid, he'll be fine. I think the Bsh campaign has to be wary of the poll numbers. I believe Kerry has the same type of support that Clinton II showed. Asked who they are voting for, people where reluctant, dare I say embarrassed, to admit voting for Clinton so they said Dole. Then a landslide came. Same thing with Kerry, I believe a decent percentage of respondents are saying Bush but will pull Kerry. Here's a peek at Presidential Campaign politics. The local Dem party here is getting together a big ass pile of cash to woo Kerry to make a sacrificial campaign stop in South Texas. This is an area that Kerry will win with 80-85% of the vote. But how meaningless is that. Texas is solidly behind our favorite son, Dubya. But some would think it will remind Kerry he does have support in Texas, just in case. Dubya made a campaign stop last time around, promised stuff for the border region and never got around to it, maybe next term

I view the Senate in a different light than congress and look more to the person's intellect and character than their politics. The Senate should be the one area we debate high ideals. There is a difference between the House and Senate. Most of the Republicans I have voted for have been Senate candidates. The difference between Hillary dropping into NY and Keyes is the Clintons needed to move out of their present house and find new dwellings. Of course politics playes a roll.

What has happened to Keyes since the days he was the GOP wonderkid who was going to lead the way for more minority involvement in the GOP? His rebuttal to one of Clinton's State of the Union speeches was great. Now he's psycho from what I'm reading.

Actually you are not. All businesses have the right and I would add responsibility to remove unruly patrons. If you walked into McDonalds and started screaming obcenities and claimed 1st Amendment protection, how long do you think they will let you stay? Freedom of speech does not mean you can spout whatever you want in any forum you want. With thatr right comes the responsibility of knowing when and where it is appropriate. The classic example is your right to free sppech does not allow you to scream Fire! in a crowded theater.

That turned from a drama to a greek tragedy about 6-8 weeks ago. Now I believe its a comedy.

I get the impression they were not in this to win but to wound Obama. I could almost understand Hillary's moving to NY since her husband's job had forced her to relocate to Washington DC for 8 years. And as soon as his contract ran out they moved to NY.

About six months ago when one of the stations had a marathon I watched a couple episodes and got interested. Now I'm scanning the channels and loving Bravo for carrying the reruns.

Damn you I started listening to the your album of the moment and hooked. I wonder if any of the crappy music stores around here have it.

I am so hooked on the West Wing. It has passed the Law and Order franchises as my #1 Drama on TV.
