  1. Notice the GOP didn't have any of the religious leaders on prime time? As all successful campaigns of the past 20 years have done, dive to the center.
  2. It is great to hear you are safe.
  3. No it is more "in" to be a conservative. You have all those nice radio shows to listen to, all the best sellers on the NY Times list, Fox News. It is much more trendy to be a conservative today.
  4. I think that Kerry's support will be a lot like Clinton's. People will lie about voting for Bush, then pull the lever for Kerry. I think it is a little about embarassment.
  5. I was looking at my soxtalk wall paper and we were so damn well set up if we were only 3 or 4 out.
  6. Whenever I would attend races at Road America you could always count on some idiots racing on the expressway heading home. The cops would have a field day.

See the contest board for all the NFL contests including Bears YNOT and Pick a Loser.
  10. Single elimination. As soon as you pick wrong, you are out of the pool. Which reminds me of another rule. If you miss a pick for the week you are out of the pool.
  11. We could sweep the Twins and finish only two or three back. It's over. NO one has ever come from that far back with so few games left.

  15. I will have a thread started in two minutes marked week one losers contents.
  16. And the military knew that then, now, and all the time in between. By tearing down Kerry's medals and the system that was used to award them, they are tearing down every medal that was awarded. You cannot tear down the system and the institute without casting into doubt every medal ever awarded. Some guys dispute the events, most of the guys on the boat do not. The only tangible evidence are the medals themselves.

  19. Shall we start a temper tantrum injury HoF? Dikta has to be the first coach. He also lost a fight with a locker.
  20. The Prize: A Cap Rules: You must pick a team that will lose each week. We will not be using the spread. Straight up loss. You may only pick a team once during the season. If your team wins, you lose. If the remaining players all lose the same week, the pool winner will be determined by which team lost by the biggest margin. Example your team loses by 5, the other player's team loses by 21 then the other guy wins. Picks must be in before by 8:00 am CST the morning of the first game. Opening week that would be Thursday. No exceptions. Please give me full team name. I cannot think of any possible confusion, but I would like to avoid any. Any questions comments PM me. ADDED: If you miss a pick for the week you are out of the pool. All decisions by me are final. Unless they involve me, then I will pick the person I've argued with the most that week to decide.

This is the third or fourth thread. Good luck. Think about this. Why would a company give away iPods to everyone in the US without making something? Companies stay in business because they make money. The US government is the only entity that seemingly can turn a deficit every year and keep their doors open. I have no doubt that some people get free iPods, but only after other people have spent money.
  24. The problem with trying to add up the terrorists is first trying to define them and from whose eyes? For example to a person living in a public housing unit who has a street game trying to recruit their child or who has to pay protection money to the local thug, that's a terrorist. If we are just talking acout groups that can inflict widespread damage with lots of death and destruction, an argument could be made that all the world's armies are terrorists. Remember if the US decides you should be dead, your dead.
  25. I'm thinking the Purple Heart and Bronze Star would support Kerry's statement. To say otherwise would indicate our miltary isn't a trustworthy source.
