  1. Once they posed for a magazine feature and decided to work in a political campaign, I do not see how the media should treat them as private citizens, you can't have it both ways. I see them more as celebrity types.
  2. I'll admit it, I am Jay Mariotti. I know you have known for a long time. Thank you for hiding it until now. I forgot you can see my IP address and trace it to the Sun Times. This has been my oasis, and with all my fans here, I didn't want to mess it up by coming out publically. Are you going to out Jose next?

Most of the time they will send you a different refurbished unit. I've worked with companies that have these rework-rebuild operations. They will completely disassemble the item, clean and test each component, and reassemble units from these parts. It is very rare for any company to spend the time to troubleshoot an individual product. It is cheaper to rebuild and ship out. They use them for warrenty repair, some wind up in discount stores in plain white cartons for 1/2 price.

Happy Birthday. I am so glad you post here
  5. Some of the supposedly bad seats in many venues are actually very good. When we were poor college students our Bulls season tickets were a center court, the absolutly last row of the second balcony. In the pre-standing room days, it was awesome. We could upgrade for the really good games. With everyone sitting around us, if we wanted to get a beer or whatever we could just slide out underneith the railing and not bother anyone, or be bothered. Now that we have a hockey team down here, I realized being a stadium that seats on 5,500 every seat is great. I buy the cheaper corner seats and only have one corner that is partially obscured. At the Cell, I always liked the UD as long as I could be resonably close to home plate. I tried down the lines once and it wasn't as nice.
  6. He's a troll. Most of his "insider info" never pans out. If it did, Kenny would have been gone a dozen times. Do you really think an investor in the Sox would go around swearing at posters? Don't be fooled by bulls*** that people can sling on line with zero proof. As long as people fall at his feet, he's happy. When they don't he's a bitter old woman in need of a bowel movement. The only connections I can believe he has would be to Wirtz, hey, maybe he is.
  7. I'm jealous of his halucinations.

Years ago Mexico nationalized the selling of gasoline. You can only buy gas from the government owned PEMEX facilities. Just thought I would toss that out there.
  9. Summer of 2005. We still have a year to wait. I am trying to keep my expectations low. People change in a couple years, it may be tough to recreat the magic. Peter breast feeding Stewie is the funniest scene I have ever seen.

86 was really cool for fishing on the Fox Chain. They imposed no wake resitrictions. I would launch, drop my electric and burn through two batteries. My 150 never got cranked up for a month. I also didn't have to compete with the off shore racers on small lakes. It was just a little surreal to pull back in and launch in another area.
  11. Where did he post it? And you saw it? :headshake It's like Henry Ford driving a Yugo :puke
  12. Southsider, what do you think of this "old poster"?

I added the idiot. It is difficult to sell and sometimes you wind up stuck, especially when it didn't flood when you bought it, but it does now. And yes, some people do gamble, and hope to save some money and life by running water, which can be really cool. I did not make a dime when I sold my house. A neighbor was not as lucky. He needed to relocate for work and lost about $20,000 on his home. If the damn had been rebuilt, neither of us probably would have flooded. And I think I had the town wrong, it is the Wilmont dam.
  14. Link to the rest, of the story

I owned a place on one of the channels up on the chain. It would only flood during a 100 year flood. Guess what? That happened twice in the 80s. A contributing factor was the damn in Bristol fell into disrepair and they had no means to regulate how much water flowed into the chain, but during Mississippi flooding times, they would hold water in the chain. So we got flooded. Some home did not start out on flood plains, but dams, or downstream construction, have caused water to back up and created new flood plains. Flood areas can also be created when vast sreas that use to be rain soaking farm lands are turned into asphalt and the water runs into the creeks and rivers. So, not everyone on a current flod plain is an idiot.
  16. I only see NHL, NBA, MLB. I guess you haven't found the preference controls
  17. Is this like a WWF Cage Match?
  18. Name someone who picks 100%? The Royals, based on last season and off season aquisitions were one of three with a legit claim to 1st. If he had picked Detroit I could see slamming him. Plus if he picks Minny everyone says Doh. So I guess everyone should have picked the Sox?
  19. YASNY, CHISOXFN, and Mariotti, in no particular order. Oh yes, the guy from Kansas City, I forget his name. And if we are talking all sports, Rick Telender or Frank Deford.
  20. How often during the season do you change your Sox?
  21. I'm sorry to here about Brian's dad. I do remember you mentioning this trip. Have a nice time and I hope Brian's dad is better. Wow, Fan changes her name and goes to Mexico. Look Out People! She's ready to party. I assume you are visiting your maquilla operation. Enjoy the cafeteria food.
  22. Don't mess with my enjoyment of the game. Don't drink if it means you have to piss twice an inning. Don't hog the arm rest. Cheer good plays for your team if you must, but do not cheer for my team's bad plays. If your change is less than a buck and I have to pass it to you, tell the vendor to keep the change. No smoking No swearing if kids are in earshot Unless you are drawing a MLB pension, do not try and impress anyone with your baseball knowledge. Do not ask for information that is on the scoreboard or in the program If you can totally f*** up the Cub's chances of going to the World Series by fan interference, please go for it. If you are a guy and there with a hot girlfriend, share. OK, the last one is optional.
