  1. Part 1 is exactly correct. One side note: There is a difference in taking out a factory and taking out a person. This difference is noted in International Law. But setting that distinction aside . . . You just proved my point. They knew innocent people would be killed. Doesn't that mean the innocent people were targeted? How can one simultaniously argue one side would never target innocents, then claim it's a normal sad side effect of war? The civilians were factored into the equation. The innocent make up part of the target. Both sides in this conflict have knowingly killed civilians. Then they engage in a debate whether their side's reasons for killing innocent people is better than the other side's reasons. Then they cheer the deaths. If you know you will be killing civilians, they are targeted. If you want to hide behind "we needed to take out this person and killing 1 or 10, or 100 women, children, and men civilians was unavoidable" that's fine but do not then come back and say my side never targets innocents. Just to toss an idea for debate out there, There are fugitives from US Law in Mexico, should be toss a missle into the cars of these fugitives? Some of these are the biggest drug lords. Should we send in an Apache helicoptor and take them out?
  2. that was so cool
  3. You know what, this isn't much different than Columbine or any of the other School tradegies. Same age group, same despare, only there they have some idiot ready to make them "heros". :headshake

  5. That 72 virgin thing really messes with a 14 year olds mind. Some dorky, pimply faced kid who can't get any is promised to be a hero and get sex with 72 virgins . . .

Don't you just hate it when a f*cking adult comes in ruins the fun? Who invited you to this kegger?
  7. Link to whole article I do not care that he did seem to be targeting soldiers. Using a 14 year old kid is sick. Fight your wn battles, don't get children to do it for you. BTW I4E, Physicians for Human Rights condemned the act. I know you thought they never condemned Palestinians for anything. Here's an example, and it is in a Israeli newspaper.

  16. What a terrible poem. Aren't these are friends who cheer the Bears, Bulls, and Hawks with us? Are they not our friends who would jump in a minute on a Sox bandwagon a cheer along with us? :fthecubs NO! The Bastards! They're the assholes who cut us off on the Ike. They are the idiots that jump in the other lane when they see a merge and try to get in way up there, they're the MFers who get in the correct change lane without any change and then want to cut over. They're the ones who bring the crying kids into the restaurant when I'm trying to eat in peace. They're the ones tat like to take a nice beer leak in a trough like some animal. They are the ones who take 18 items in the 10 items and less lane at Jewel. :fyou By the way, Great Poem

I think part of the issue is the changing views of society. First off two totally wasted people leave a bar. Both are way over the legal limit. They have drunken sex in a car in the parking lot. The male could be charged with rape since the woman was drunk and not able to consent. Is there an inequality there? I'd like to hear what the ladies say. Not to defend Kobe but how many groupies have come on to him the same way, that he had sex with? This was not a big city groupie who knew the ropes so to speak. Maybe she thought it was going to be straight up love making and when she realized she was just going to be just another bang on the road, tried to stop it. Kobe allowed himself into a bad situation. The girl allowed herself into a worse situation. I do not believe she knew what she was getting into. She may have thought she could play kissy face, brag to her friends, and go home without sex. And she should have been able to.

So easy to use, no wonder it's #1 I've had an AOL when they had less than 500,000 subscribers. Then left. When I was working for one company and needed access throughout the US, I tried them again. For local dial up anywhere in the US, they were impossible to beat. I could fly into the smallest airport, drive to the smallest town, fire up the laptop, and AOL would have a local POP in a town of 2,000 people. Amazing.
  20. Be part of the solution. Offer to aim it for him This is a place of business? It would be OK at home
  21. Oh, I thought you were trying to enlighten us If this is how you react to people you do not I wonder how you treat people you really care about. I too would like to see Israel live in peace. I just also wish the same for Palestinians, and Iraqis, and everyone else effected by war. But that's just me, I'm a bleeding heart liberal. I value all lives the same. I do not assign a lesser value on someones life because a car with a criminal should happen to stop in front of their home. I do not value someone's life less because they happen to be on a bus and some homicidal idiot decides that blowing up innocent people will somehow get them what they want. But here is a rats ass for you because I care. And I am serious, you really do need to visit Israel and talk wth everyday people instead of getting all your information from web sites. Walk the streets, sit and have coffee. I know you will come away with better information on what the average person thinks. From talking with a friend whose daughter is there, many Israelis are unhappy with the assassination. Just like the US, there is dissent among Israeli citizens. Hard for you to believe, I'm certain. I guess when it's your ass being retaliated against, it isn't as easy to be a war lord.
  22. Once again are the Palestinians the moral standard you are judging Israel by? Then yes, Israel is doing a very nice job. I cannot accept terrorists as a moral authority or standard. I do not believe it is civil unrest, anymore than I believe Viet Nam was a police action. It is war and believe it or not, war has rules. Break the rules, and people will criticize. If you believe Israel should be treated like anyone else, then Israel is rightfully being condemned for an assassination. If you believe that Israel is above or below International Law, then please do not cpmplain that they are treated different. Yes, I see the difference. It is ok for Israel to kill civilians. It is not ok for Palestinians. If an Israeli civilian dies you will say they are targeted, when Palestinians die because a Hamas leader drives by them on the street, it is somehow the kid on the streets fault. If there is the possibility for innocent civilians to be killed, the action must not be taken. If it is taken then those civilian's blood is on the aggressors hands, regardless who they are. You seem to believe if a Palestinian target is close by, anyone in the area may be killed. If an Israeli soldier is close by, and since I have not been back to Israel in two years I do not know if they are still everywhere, it is not ok to kill the Israeli soldier because innocents may be killed. Who then would be hiding around civilians? If it would be wrong for a Palestinian to kill innocents while taking out an Israeli solder, but it would be OK for an Israeli to take out civilians if a Palestinian target is close, doesn't that mean Palestinians cannot hide behind human shields but Israelis can? Or is the Israeli army out in the open now and not on almost every street corner next to civilians? You really need to visit Israel. I cannot believe a true freedom fighter like yourself hasn't coughed up the time and cash and went. I can offer you some excellent hotel choices and if they are still operating some great restaurants. Man, I've had some great meals there, and cheap. I've only been a couple times and each time I came away with a sense of wonder and awe for the rich religious history, regardless of your faith or lack there of. I am a bleeding heart. I believe the bloodshed will continue until no one is left, if wise men of restraint do not act soon. You want to spill blood. You are a war Hawk, hell bent on defending any destruction to Palestinians. Do you enjoy sounding like a blood thirsty hoodlum, intent on the destruction of an entire race? You complain that Israel is being treated different, yet claim Israel is somehow entitled to defy International Law because they've been wronged. Man that self righteous anger must keep you going. I still think if you spent less time trying to atone for not going to Temple by going to Temple, you will feel better. You will get rid of that guilt and all will be right with the world. Will you be bringing up your child in the faith and taking him/her (sorry I do not like refering to children as its) to Temple?
  23. Isn't that always the case?
