Senseless tragedy. Let's also remember this happens hundreds of times a week to lesser known, but equally loved ones. My brother died from a collision with a tree caused by a drunk driver, himself. For a long time I hated him for doing that to our mom and dad. Remember a couple years ago the Indians lost a player from a drunk boating accident.

In the beginning prophets wrote on the cave walls. Through the years they wrote on paper and subway walls. Where are the prophets writing today? Magazines, Songs, eZines, email, the Sex, Lies, and Politics board?

Does it change anyone's posts if you thought the human as topic would be reading it? I know we had the be kind to Cotts sentimentality when he was, how can I say this politely, struggling with the parent club. Would you have pulled punches if JM was reading? Botch?

What ever happened with their legal problems?

Most years we can say "at least we didn't suck as bad as you" or "we finished 2nd and you finished 4th" or "what happened head to head?" The Met fans have to see WS titles piling up.

Did Santo come over before or after Kessinger? How many other guys have moved back and forth? Sosa of course. I like Santo and as a 3rd baseman, I think he deserves to be in the HoF. The veterans committee will add him, probably and sadly, after he dies. I'm trying to be happy for the Cubs. 99% of Cub fans are fine. It's the in your face ass holes with something to taunt us with that really piss me off. I now have a great deal of respect for Mets fans. That has to be so much worse than this.

Another great skit was a 1970's Belushi, Akroyd, and I think Garret Morris on SNL. They are in little sperm costumes and explaining about trying for the egg. Swimming hard, the whole bit. Then when the big moment comes (sorry) and they are to be released, they find out it's a bases empty solo shot.

What game the season ended weeks ago

It has done this: If I hear one more time that we can't afford this or that I'm going to scream. We are a f***ing large market team. We lost to f***ing Minnesota. Before that Cleveland was kicking our ass. Minnesota and Cleveland! Buy me a WS appearace or get the hell out of the way. I don't want Billy Beane I want George Stienbrenner! I thought being 1600 miles away I could just pretend to be a Cubs fan and accept all the "you must be so happy" s*** comments. Nope, I get more and more pissed at my Sox. Hell my backup team, the Astros, lost to the Cubs. This season really did suck. Now I'm Boston's nightmare, I'm cheering for them.

I'm getting sick of our payroll issues. Chicago is a f***ing major market. The lesser haves are suppose to be b****ing about us. NY, LA, and Chicago. We should be able to support a payroll at least in the mid 70s to mid 80's I know it's one of those unsubstantuated comments with nothing to back it but damn when the Twins, Astros, Rangers, etc. can spend more.

That was soo easy. I shovel sunshine all winter. I've acclimated to the heat. When it's 100 it feels like just another day. When it's in the 50's or worse I'm wearing the biggest parka I own. You can keep slush, salt stains on everything, pairs of gloves (batting and golf gloves are ok), ice scrappers, snow blowers, rear window defrosters, giant snow boots, anything thermal, and of course jack frost nipping at your nose.
