I'm trying to reactivate an Alpha Phi Omega chapter and looking for some un-official information. Gotta love a 40+ frat guy

An old woman in a wheelchair playing center field may have ZERO errors for the season. Some of the examples given commit more errors because they are getting to balls that fall a couple feet away from our guys. Defense can't be measured just by errors. How many balls have we seen this season fall just out of reach? We are big and slow for the most part, great for home run trots, bad for Web Gems.

Some things are timeless classics that will never go away. For example: :fthecubs

I hated those unis in 1983, but they look better the second time around. I also love the marketing. Remember when you only wanted the currect cap? When the team changedeh the old one went into the garbage and the new one was purchased. Being caught wearing the wrong cap branded you a loser. And there was 1 official style. No glitz or graphics, you wore the one the players wore. Ahh misty water colored memories of the way we were . . .

I'll agree that the head to head games will make or break our playoff chances. We aren't going to win the division without beating the Twins. I don't think we need a sweep, but we can't be swept and probably can't lose the series. Both teams are playing their best ball right now. My pessimistic upbringing in Chicago baseball has me waiting for the sky to fall I'm trying not to get to caught up in the hype for another week. Easier when the local sports talk is either ESPN's national shows of Dallas Cowboy's football.

Still wish we had a better arm or two in the bullpen. I like our big three, and see some talent in our system to have a solid 4 or 5 man rotation for the next couple of years, $$$ dependent of course.

DOnt be so sure. Outside of Chicago, people dont even know who Loaiza is. The sox will need to make the playoffs for Loaiza to win it. I hear his name on the all sports network, and in the papers down here 1600 miles from Chicago. Baseball people, especially those who vote know who he is and what he's accomplished this season. Another win or two especially a big one near the end of the season and he's picking up a Cy Young.

Somehow they look better the second time around . . . I hated them 1983

Damn With Thousands of Dollars in prizes at stake we can't have these careless, sloppy mistakes. This could cost those guys hundreds of dollars

Same numbers, one get constantly bashed, the other constantly praised. How else would you explain it? Mark has had some success in a Sox uniform, Colon not as much. That is the difference to me. I like a starting three of Mark, Bart, And E-Lo form the next coiuple of years. We have some arms coming up to fill in and make it a very solid rotation.

We see how far Tiger pride has gotten them this season. Once they start playing for themselves they'll roll over even faster. Expect no help from dogs, go win the damn thing yourself. Keep winning series, beat the teams in your division and start printing tix for the big show.

You to can be a sports agent in just 8 weeks. I can't believe ESPN Radio is running ads for such a scam. How many athletes, even X-Game types are going to go with a guy who has an 8-Week certification from Mel Kyper's school? The ad opens with did you know you don't have to be an attorney to be a pro sports agent? Guess what Mel, they don't have to go to your school either. I see Joe SixPack sitting in his underwear thinking this is so cool, I'll be an agent, make a gadzillion dollars a year and hang out with athletes SWEET!

ESPN is looking at MTV as its business model. Soon programming like PlayMakers and whatever their calling the Notre Dame series will be the norm with maybe only an hour or three of Sportscenter.

Well if he's on your fantasy team which we assume has to do with ahem baseball we'll have to cheer for him. Now I have Anna and the Williams sisters on my mfantasy team, can we cheer for them and I also?

My vote for most hated player of 2003 is Billy Botch :fyou and :puke are usually seen with two or three words of his name. Poor guy, struggling with a nagging injury but he far exceeded Jimenez, PK, JM, KW and others on the hated list.

what is an elimination date? I know what a clinch date is but I am unfamiliar with this phrase. Since the picks must be in by June 15th, hardly matters anymore, I am just curious! Nice to see BrandoFan posting again! Misty water colored memories of June. We were something like 7 or 8 back and playing like s***. Amazing what a few new faces, some timely slugging, etc. will do for our outlook. I wouldn't want to start a clinch date thread, that would jinx it for certain.

JM has a radio and a magic eight ball, I'm fairly certain he hasn't moved up to modems and computers.

I'd love 12 hours of that week . . . Full time job, 3/4 time college student, husband, father of two teenagers, Boy Scout Leader, I get tired just thinking about it.
-
It is going to be a great finish in the NL Central. I have reasons to pull for all three teams. However I can only be kind to the Cubs if we get in the playoffs also. I couldn't stand the Cubs in - Sox out scenario. I'm just enjoying seeing some good playoff race baseball in a couple divisions.
-
You won't see it until Thursday? we'll try not to tell you the results
-
I'm embarrassed. I made a note to check this to see who I'm going to need to send the prize to. I hope we're wrong, very wrong. Looks like Brando Fan may be a winner

Part of this is Bonds is finally acting like a human instead of a stuck up asshole. The media figures grab it while its there since he'll go back to his brooding ways in no time. It is so hard to play baseball after losing your father, working an actual job would be so much easier. In a hospital bed from exhaustion. A hospital bed!? How many of us check into a hospital because of exhaustion? The best I get is honey you take the kids, I need a nap
