    Age poll

College is 19-22 Where does a 42 year old Junior fit?
  3. Are the Cubs scalping tickets like they were caught during the Yankees series? I would love to have thme be screwing their fans.
  4. I'm getting sick of our payroll issues. Chicago is a f***ing major market. The lesser haves are suppose to be b****ing about us. NY, LA, and Chicago. We should be able to support a payroll at least in the mid 70s to mid 80's I know it's one of those unsubstantuated comments with nothing to back it but damn when the Twins, Astros, Rangers, etc. can spend more.
  5. Rename the Pale Hose Board!? We could all get really stupid, egotistical, tyranical, and just plain b****y and call it WSI
  6. That was soo easy. I shovel sunshine all winter. I've acclimated to the heat. When it's 100 it feels like just another day. When it's in the 50's or worse I'm wearing the biggest parka I own. You can keep slush, salt stains on everything, pairs of gloves (batting and golf gloves are ok), ice scrappers, snow blowers, rear window defrosters, giant snow boots, anything thermal, and of course jack frost nipping at your nose.
  7. I thought f*** That was a top vote getter also. Are we ever going to actually name the board of can we poll it to death?
  8. The Cubs only win today because losing tomorrow will be that much harder.
  9. Mildly entertaining. Think Parcell's played?
  10. I've never posted there, think I can get banned by association? Anyone have an email address for them?
  11. I liked the guy during spring training but by the third week I wanted to yank that damn goatee off his f***ing face. The mere appearance of his picture pissed me off. Damn I hope he returns to form, I would really like to like the guy.
  12. Cross town hate put a side and recognizing that Jeter's shoulder may not have been 100% I have to go with none of the above.
  13. I think the Yankees where very happy to be playing the Twins and not the Sox.
  14. I'd like to see a better closer. One big problem, how many teams are lining up asking KW about Koch? He has zero trade value. Maggs will get you something but I'd rather hang on to Maggs than trust KW to get the right guy.
  15. I was eating dinner in Reynosa, Taumalipas Mexico and they made a huge spectacle of bringing dinner to a couple sitting at a lavish head table. With great fan fare they unveiled the dish. Underneath the cover were two very large, almost round objects. I asked what the couple was having for dinner and my waiter replied in broken English that these were the testicles from the bull that was killed in the bullfight earlier in the day. I immediately asked if they had any more because my group would love to try them. The almost empty $100 bottle of tequilla may have fueled our desire. He explained to me that these needed to be ordered weeks or months in advance. We quickly set a date for 6 weeks out and eagerly awaited our feast. When the big day came I gathered many of my compadres and we headed back to the restaurant. Our big moment arrived and with great anticipation we sat there as a seven waiters and the mariachi band came to our table. As the violins and guitars played the waiter unveiled the dish. To my great dismay it reveiled only two small, shriveled balls. I asked him why ours was so small when last time they were grande and he replied Senior, sometimes it is the bull that wins!

I've spent some carefree days on a ranch castrating bulls. Amazing they will lose their nuts and never moo. Mustn't be any nerves there.
  18. Unfortunatly Maddux is no longer the best pitcher in baseball. I gotta go with the Cubs in this one. And remember, we hope they win today because it will make the eventual loss that much worse :fthecubs

    Thinking Snow Yet?

60 degrees! Down here that would be a night time low. At 60 or so they start opening up the warming shelters and having coat drives for the poor.

    Thinking Snow Yet?

Me? I'm shoveling sunshine and drinking margaritas outdoors. I love south Texas winters.
  21. Is this a new issue? I don't think the climate has changed over the last 1000 years or so. What did the old timers used to do about it? One possibility is the tightly built homes trapping in moisture. 100 years ago we didn't have air conditioning. Also indoor plumbing that drips, sweats, and leaks is a culprit as well. What happens is people begin it wheeze and sneeze and start looking into the walls and it becomes a problem. So the other issue could be a hightened sensitivity to mold.
  22. The mold issue is huge here in Texas. Insurance companies and attorneys have been battling it out. I know of three people who received checks for the full value of their homes because of mold damage. Some insurance companies have refused to write policies in Texas because of it. People have been moved out of their homes for months while the remiediators come in a rebuilt the walls, etc.
  23. I believe I may have my funniest post of all time. Please check out my reply in "OUCH" and see if you agree. Damn I'm proud of myself.
