I just visited the Cub board and there is like 80 messages about guys voting for Frank and Corey. Since they are directly across from each other on the ballot I'm making the extra click and voting the Chicago guy. Patterson seems like a good guy to me. Easy to be kind when we win both series.

As I was voting for like the 50th time I glanced at the NL side. Any good stories over there to vote for? I was kind of thinking voting for the Cub because the game is in Chicago and I would hope they would vote for Frank. Of course you can't always trust cub fans . . .

I agree but times a wastin' trade deadline is this month.

Foulke blows a save and we write about it. Botch blows another save and it isn't even worth b****ing about. Kind of like the sun came up today. One more deal for a closer. Just one more deal for a closer. Please one more deal for a closer.

Figures Jerry and Kenny can't even win their catagory. Underachievers.

That's gonna be ShamME next weekend since he won't be able to "entertain the fans" at the HR Derby or the All Star Game He can't "entertain the fans" anymore. He broke his one and only corked bat. LOL, excellent use of green

If we are voting I'd like to see it changed although it may be not as big a problem here on in. Let's make it that both picks count against the two for the week.

Good afternoon y'all Hawk keeps talking about how the D-rays are better than there record indicates bacause of the all the 1-2 run games they have loss. Seems to me that good teams win those games and poor teams loose them.

Who's this Alomar guy.....and why is he leading off when he's only batting .200 with 0HR's and 0RBI's???? Just another edition of.......

Gee, I always liked his column. And no that wasn't suppose to be in green

I love them and they have the coolest jerseys in all sports but the Hawk organization blows the biggest chunks. Year after year I see the most incompetent idiots make decisions there. Pully should have been fired a hundred years ago. He makes Kenny William look like a nobel prize winning f***ing genious. We'd do better by asking a group of third graders what they think. On his last day I wish Keenan had taken a AK-47 through that place Figuratively. Think of all the talent they let slip through their fingers while being a half way house for substance abuse cases. Bill Wirt$ is the Worse.

http://www.local6.com/news/2310988/detail.html Lightning Strikes Preacher Who Asked For Sign Bolt Hits Steeple, Travels Through Guest Evangelist's Microphone POSTED: 1:35 p.m. EDT July 3, 2003 UPDATED: 1:45 p.m. EDT July 3, 2003 FOREST, Ohio -- Damage to a church in Forest, Ohio, is estimated at $20,000 after a preacher asked God for a sign. A member of the First Baptist Church said a guest evangelist was preaching repentance and seeking a sign from God when lightning struck the steeple. Ronnie Cheney called the incident "awesome, just awesome!" Cheney said the lightning traveled through the microphone, blew out the sound system and enveloped the preacher, who wasn't hurt. Afterward, services resumed for about 20 minutes until the congregation realized the church was on fire. The building was evacuated. Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press. All rights reserved. Playing to the audience. No big deal, he'll go away or change his tune quickly if someone paid him to blow Sox fans (figurativly that is) Cub fans remind me of fireflys. Very amusing on a summer evening. Just showing off and midlessly flittering around the yard. Sometimes we try and get to know why by catching them in a jar. Ultimately the most fun is tossing them to the ground and smearing them across the concrete. It pains me to know that Bill Veeck planted the damn ivy. Perhaps he didn't read the label properly and it was supose to be poison ivy?

You've won the lottery Then I could fly to Chicago for weekend series, there is a Sox tie in. Champion Sox over Cubs

I feel sorry for the ScRubs. It is so much more fun when they get eliminated in September than July. Those ScRub fans all giddy and bouncing off the ivy covered walls hoping they'll win the cup or bowl or whatever that thing is at the end of the season. Teaching a new generation of ScRub fans the magic number and watching their hopes turn to dust. Now that's fun. Watching them slide into fourth place in mid in July is way too soon.

I was thinking about the attendance this week and isn't it about time for baseball to start reporting the ticket revenue not the attendance. How about yeterdays gate was $265,740? Before you scoff that's how movies do it. They don't say 1,000,400 people bought tickets to the Hulk, no, they'll tell you the movie took in $50,000,000 this weekend. Then we have a fair comparison of Tuesdays 25,000 vs. Wednesday's 19,500
