One of my Boy Scout Troop's Patrols named themselves the Funky Aliens. As we rode into camp this week they "Played that funky music" yep play that funky music to you die.

I just finished a week at Buffalo Trails Scout Camp in West Texas. Four of my older Scouts talked me into the Mountain Man Program. Way Way Cool. Drinking from a Mountain spring. Great food. long hikes in the mountains. Nice way to get away from it all.

After a week of living the life of a mountain man in the Davis Mountains, I finally return to civilization Friday afternoon and find a local paper. With great trepidation on my part, I slowly turn to the sports section. Thumbing past the news on Texas League Baseball, I find the major league standings and what to my wandering eye should appear, but a 6 game winning streak! No articles just the standings. Would anybody care to give me the cliff notes version of what happened last week? I now have a dilema. It appears that we win when I don't shower for a week. This isn't going to work while I'm living with polite city folk.

I think it is going to stay on the front page without pinning. Nice bit of history that chronicles all the different f***ed up things that have happened to this season. I kind of miss the fun days of being 0-3 and thinking we can turn this around.

And one could assume he could "have" his wife also. When you can have almost any girl you want the one that won't have you is the trophy. And I know I'm making a generality that may not me true but he did admit to adultry.

Speaking of stray cats one of the first things I noticed when I moved to Texas was how many strays were around the neighborhood. With no winter to thin their ranks and plenty of swimming pools, lizards, etc. they do nicely. Do you think we would be talking cats if we were 8 games in front of KC?

How about a ceremonial deleting of this thread when we move to first place in the division?

I just love seeing this one bump up every week or so. After this season it should be printed, bound and required reading for everyone on the team. Someone may have to read it to JM.

Non that has been made public. Some choose to believe there is evidence and MLB hasn't released it. Pete, with all the resources in the world to argue his case before a judge and jury accepted the ban. The ban did say lifetime. Accept the punishment. I would like to see some dort of display discussing his achievements and why he isn't a member. Keep his memory alive without admitting him.

Career or season? That should always be made clear. How much of their career had to be spent with the Sox. In other words where's Tom Seaver? 311 wins 2.86 ERA and he won something like 25 games in '69 to help the Cubs to a terrible memory. Gotta love a guy like that.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but not only should Frank be there but so should Shamey. If the game was at Wrigley I would be b****ing about Sox being represented so I have to be fair. I still don't like him :sosasucks :fthecubs

Yep fire Jerry and we would be 7 games out in front (sorry I couldn't get green to work Jerry may not be the best manager in the AL but focusing on him takes the focus from the guys who aren't getting it done. Obviously I'm not a big JM fan but I believe without him we would still be in second place, only a little closer.

I agree. However from time to time we have jumped on all five of these guys.

Are we starting a legion of catchers? How many total catchers did we draft? Is that normal? To be honest I never paid much attention to the baseball draft. Thank you for the insight. I'm printing and saving to see how they turn out.

It looks like two forks on the bottom. My vote for the all time best sports uniform is the Blackhawks. I hope they never make a major change. Worse would be some of those Padres uniforms from the 70's.
