Gas. High Gas (prices).
$3.89 regular unleaded here in Texas. I have a 36 gallon tank and use mid-range. Paid $5 a gallon in southern Illinois this week. $140 fill up.

Illinois, you're killing me here. Texas had a moment there with a minute to go.

Will Abreu be a White Sox in 2023?
Everyone in this organization is a joke who couldn't get a job with a little league. Half the roster is AAAA or worse. Third place in the division and multiple embarrassing moments from LaRussa is all we should expect.

Will Abreu be a White Sox in 2023?
It's an answer he gave to a question. Asking the same question the day before or five minutes later mighty have elicited a completely different answer. It may also be a hangover from the CBA that will go away with time.

Where would you rank the White Sox roster in MLB?
No. I don't see Madrigal back on the roster. I also don't see three at one time. I'm guessing two and that is enough to cause a bad stretch.

Where would you rank the White Sox roster in MLB?
Every player has potential. Predicting what their season ultimately looks like is obviously a guess. Some would look at a player like Mercedes and pick the start of the season guy and claim we have a HoF guy stepping in. Others look at his finish and say we have a AA+ guy there. I'm trying to split the middle but I'm leaning pessimistically. So I'm predicting something like last season where we lose starters for significant stretches of the season (I believe it's realistic). I believe we have a couple key players on a huge upswing in their development and a couple in that inevitable decline. At best they will blame. I also believe we have a manager also in his declining years guiding them through it. So optimistically top 10, a few injuries away from bottom ten. I think after watching about fifty Sox rosters I know what one looks like. Was last year's roster a top 9? Close. Is this one better? I don't think so.

Kris Bryant to the Rockies - 7/$182
Isn't that what we want? Competitiveness. We don't want players just going to contenders. Plus we don't want teams making huge profits. So big time contracts to go to losing teams instead of chasing championships.

Who cares about his profits? He should spend it. This is why players get screwed and wind up with such a small percentage of the revenue. Fans don't want teams to "over spend". Not overspending leads to those astronomical profits.

After two starters go down and our weak ass system is exposed, we'll be bottom suckers.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
Is anyone concerned that the other division teams just aren't making huge improvements. Fans are hoping for more competitive races. It's bad for baseball if the Sox run away with the division. Me neither lol

Sox Sign Vince Velasquez
Tony gained another year of experience. He's getting better and better.

White Sox Sign RP Joe Kelly (2yrs with a club option; $17m)
They shouldn't do anything until they find a lefty hitting right fielder. Then try to fill the second highest priority. They should only work on one thing at a time. That's the secret.

Even half a season is a stretch

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
BTW we are assuming he's our 2nd base solution. He could be the right field solution. Let's get he and Garcia out there on the right side.

I didn't have a problem giving up Madrigal. I loved the Kimbrel signing and still believe it will work out.

The new White Sox bullpen is a MAJOR upgrade
I'm loving our pen. You left out one key aspect other than health, the guys who are coaching and managing them. I agreed with 90% plus of TLR's bullpen usage. He made some moves that didn't work out, a couple total head scratching decisions, but overall I hope he continues on the same path. I think the coaching will continue to improve as well, no reason not to believe additional MLB experience helps Katz.

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
A couple days removed and we forgot the sacrifice these players made for the future of baseball. If there is anything I learned this winter is MLB teams make too much money. $11 million should be $15 million. We should be outraged they only are paying him $5.5 million. He can't work anywhere else, has a short career, and deserves more of the profits than ownership.
