  1. We've had eight deaths at the same nursing home here in San Antonio. It looks like five today.
  2. Navy Chief just resigned. Shouldn't have called the captain stupid. Duh.
  3. I have a box or two of masks I use when sanding workworking projects and I have a respirator I use while applying finishes. I'm thinking of using the masks in public.
  4. Are people reusing fabric masks or washing them between uses? And is wearing one while driving really necessary?
  5. Seems like a reasonable plan.
  6. I'm guessing like they have these past three years. Especially if once again he wins with a minority of the popular vote. These three years haven't been too horrible. He promised to repeal the Affordable Care Act and didn't. He promised to not golf much, and has. He promised to drain the swamp and he did, by moving the swamp to the White House. So overall I'm happy. Perhaps he can golf even more during his next term.
  7. It would be easy enough to schedule teams with extended off days of 3 to 4 days. They are already on the road for more than half of their season. I don't believe it would be much different.
  8. he's got a natural ability
  9. I've seen players fired up from little league to independent ball with very few, if any, fans there. I'm certain they will do just fine. We've all heard stories of insane practice altercations. If players can get fired up practicing, they can get fired up with their careers on the line.
  10. When famous people start dying people notice. If PewDiePie dies, then everyone will take it seriously. And yes, that was slightly sarcastic, I don't want anyone to die.
  11. I am shocked by how many thinking, rational, intelligent, people I know that will continue to support him and blame everyone else but him.

Santa Fe is easily one of my five favorite places on the planet and one I would consider living. In fact, I recall really studying it on November 9, 2016.
  13. I'm at close to 100%. I teach seniors with a lot who are college bound.
  14. If we look at this as binary, that we either play as business as usual in thirty stadiums and full air travel or not at all then the problem of course is there. I see a more cautious restart with less travel being something to consider.
  15. or pay our taxes.
  16. Naw, you don't need them fancy degrees to know which end of a mule to kick.
  17. On par with the spring break crowd that thought partying was more important.

    Thank you for the link.
  19. Who you will be taxing are the people who attend those services. The party that does that will never win another election. It also opens the door to taxing all non profits. Again, harming those people that donate to causes they believe in.
  20. Do you really care who you get the virus from? If they are within our borders, to keep everyone safe, everyone needs health care for the virus. So if you are worried about legitimate US citizens then you need to be worried about everyone here. While some businesses do knowingly hire undocumented workers (do we call murders illegals? it just seems weird calling someone illegal) a lot of businesses fall victim to counterfeit papers. We don't call a retail store corrupt for accepting a counterfeit $20 so I'm not certain calling every company who is found to have someone working for them without paperwork corrupt. Finally, our agriculture industry will collapse without migrant labor. If you recall just a couple months ago we had RECORD employment numbers. Greatest in history according to our President. If what Trump said is true, than it seems as if we are doing just fine with those workers here. Perhaps we should find a way that it makes more economic sense for someone to come here and work a minimum wage job than the current system that makes more sense to come here and take a high paying job. Currently we accept the foreign born doctor but want to make certain when the doctor hires a yardman or a nanny that it be an American kid. How about we create a system that does the opposite. Protects high paying jobs with a cheaper, more streamlined process for lower skill jobs. Back to the pandemic.
  21. I proposed a while back using five stadiums in the northeast with six teams at each stadium and they could rotate around. Again, without fans. They could film three games per day at each stadium. I was thinking using NY, Boston, Baltimore, and Philly.

I wonder if that audio is available anywhere

Round Rock and Austin are growing quickly and getting expensive to live. They would be an easier drive to Dallas (if 35 is finished by then). There are two areas growing quickly in San Antonio. My district is part of the growth to the northwest. It certainly was lucky for many that the Weathers family was connected and had the resources to get helicopters moving half way around the world.
  24. I'm probably more optimistic about the stimulus package keeping businesses afloat.
