If companies were allowed to operate without any regulations in this country would supply and demand be enough to assure safe working conditions? Would it be enough to assure safe products for consumers? Would it be enough to protect workers from companies cheating them out of wages? I don't think anyone here would argue that there should be no regulations, it is the degree of regulations that can, and should, be debated.

I am so glad that our military training is working. At some point Infantry will need to kill people. Desensitizing him to the fact that they are humans would not be helpful. Training him to look at foreign flags as insulting and Muslims as less than human, is probably a necessity. Keep up the good work. remember there are two kinds of people in the world, Patriotic Americans (those that agree with you) and targets!

Should we treat each year the same? I don't think we could. The choices then would either be to offer this full onslaught every year, or continue to have smaller remembrances. At this point should we have a full feature remembrance of Pearl Harbor every year? Or mark the "round number" anniversaries? Or has too much time elapsed and Pearl Harbor just isn't important anymore? We are coming up on Civil War 150 year anniversaries. Should we have had 150 yearly Gettysburg Ceremonies, or is it appropriate to mark anniversaries every 25 or 50 years? I will not be glued to my TV today. I will be reading student assignments, sorting through some backpacking gear, reading Moby Dick. But I have paused to remember. I have said a small prayer for the families of the victims and said a silent thanks to all the public safety workers who daily protect myself and my family.

In other words, a crisis that was completely, indisputably, totally, unequivocally her fault, but she tried to blame everybody for it but herself, and I'm the one who's accountable for it. Ugh! So f***ing pissed right now! Another towing company that drags cars over a few feet so they can make a buck. Putting this on the scale with the s*** you've done, go thank her for the opportunity to in a small way balance the scale.

My next section is on grammar and I've heard so many people say they hated learning grammar in school. What sucked and what did you like? My students are surprised when I tell them I disliked "English" class when I was in middle school. Grammar was what I really disliked. Endless diagramming of sentences for no apparent reason. I've downloaded purchased all of the Grammar Rocks™ videos. Now I'm brainstorming some other lesson ideas.

New York is one of the greatest cities in the world. One of the biggest, most vibrant, centers of modern civilization. A thousand years from now, if someone is studying the history of the earth, New York will be part of the curriculum along with Rome, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Baghdad (first city over 1,000,000), Alexandria, or Thebes. To think that the largest attack there since the British invasion during the Revolutionary War would not be a world tragedy is just not accurate.
