  1. Rams do have some quality there in St Louis
  2. Anyone remember who won it last year?
  3. perhaps because Rush will kick it into overdrive. This is a crisis for the other party. The heavy hitters will come out after the early soldiers have fallen.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 11:55 AM) Please, explain to me this impossible situation. All he had to do to hold down a job was hit, major league baseball players hit, Dewayne Wise can't hit. Therefore, Dewayne Wise is not a major league baseball player. Define hit?
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 11:46 AM) No joke. You could have put Wise on a milk carton after Kotsay got here.
  6. Amazing as it is, our defense just got a little worse. I throw up in my mouth at the thought.
  7. my radio is primed for the usual GOP radio onslaught.
  8. At 31 I'm guessing he may be thinking it is time to hang 'em up if he can't catch on with a mlb roster. Good luck with that.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 11:37 AM) That would be exactly what I did. Does anyone know the criteria that they used in selecting the honoree?
  10. keep reading, it gets better and better, the party heavy hitters have not entered the fray.
  11. I find it interesting that as Americans we are demanding the Nobel Committee follow our criteria for the award, not theirs. WE (not all) do not believe he deserved it based on what WE believe the criteria should be. I also believe this speaks to how important the US is to world peace. We may not have a billion or two to provide health care to our residents, but he have hundreds of billions of dollars, and hundreds of thousands of young men and women to open a can of whoop ass on any country. So an American President only has to speak of peace, close a torture facility, speak out against nuclear arms, to earn the award.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 10:45 AM) I'll take the cigar. I'm sure Norah might like it. If only you were in my Mafia Wars family . . .
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 10:18 AM) Walk down Milwaukee or Damen, south from North Avenue, and I don't think you'll find a more hippie-haven neighborhood in the city. And say hello to the hookers working North Avenue on your walk.
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 10:40 AM) I'd do Norah too! lol Actually I was going to give you a cigar for getting Clinton and boner in the same field of view
  15. How soon until the GOP announces who they believe should have won and offers their own "Peace Prize"?
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 10:16 AM) Hey he was the one who couldn't leave because of health care. I guess winning the Nobel and chasing the Olympics changes that? Like I said before it was stupid when McCain tried it during the election, and it was stupid of Obama to say. Of course no one is really bringing that up over and over again like during the election in the media... Yes, I believe accepting the award, and using that platform to explain his vision for world peace, is more important. The Olympics, I wonder if he would have done it if it was Miami or Dallas. Could have stayed home. I thought it was a gamble with McCain at a time when he needed to gamble. Yes, stupid by Obama.
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 07:53 AM) Hopefully we can all just agree that it was completely unexpected and premature. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 07:56 AM) Not going to happen. Hordes of REPs are figuring out how to mitigate the "damage" and use it to make him look bad. Meanwhile hordes of DEM strategists are figuring out how to maximize the award to their advantage. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 07:57 AM) I don't think he meant ALL agree, I think he meant the people in here who can think for themselves. This was so easy to predict, and all too sad. Truly, I believe at any given moment, one party wants everything to go wrong so they can grab back the power. It was the Dems before, now the GOP.
  18. RNC's Response- QUOTE "The real question Americans are asking is, 'What has President Obama actually accomplished?' It is unfortunate that the president's star power has outshined tireless advocates who have made real achievements working towards peace and human rights. One thing is certain - President Obama won't be receiving any awards from Americans for job creation, fiscal responsibility, or backing up rhetoric with concrete action." QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 10:05 AM) DAMN!!! DNC Goes Nuclear on the Republican Party- Each side has their marching orders! Attack and defend! Take to the airwaves, twitter, call into Rush, there is a crisis happening here.
  19. damn, this has knocked the alphabetical thread off as most active thread
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 09:57 AM) REP's aren't the ones bringing it up. Strawman. That's why I said hush. And yes they do. Not here as much, we have a better educated audience.
  21. QUOTE (Reddy @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 09:57 AM) i guess if the only way to get people to follow you is by telling George Lopez to change late night, because "that's the kind of change he can believe in"... then the state of our population is in a sad place. No, seriously, trying to connect with young people, in a manner that appeals to them, is so stupid. He should have been paying more attention to McCain's campaign.
