  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Oscar Gamble was so likeable. I wonder if I remembered to put him on my list. That zero of the Southside Hit Men made the list surprised me.
  2. It just feels like he's running out the string and will be traded.
  3. I am really feeling good about this series. It seems both teams may have been distracted the past two weeks, kind of knowing this would be the when and where of the season. I don't see a sweep for either team, witha split in games one and two the third game will be crucial.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 01:29 AM) F*** you for spelling it "Scienfeld" and this s*** was news a month ago when I published it on my blog. Am I missing a joke here?
  5. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Do Muslim clerics really sit around and think about such petty things as this? Kind of ironic that they share that viewpoint with Christians. Link and plenty more.
  6. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 05:43 PM) Not to be too picky here because I think most of us will think the season is over if we get swept by Minnesota but wouldn't the magic number for them be 4 and not 3? I'm looking at the records right now. Chicago 86-69 Minnesota 84-72 Our magic number is 5. But I think there's right now is 10. 163-84 (Minnesota wins)=79 79-69 (Chicago loses)=10 With my math the magic number would be 4. We get to make up the Detroit game if we're 1/2 game ahead or behind right? If it is totally cancelled, which I don't think is possible, then the magic number for them would be 3. I believe you are correct. The error was mine
  7. I have a unique perspective, my University is in an area where TFA places teachers. I know the Districts and schools where they are working, and have met some of the teachers. You will be working in districts were "normal" families are few and far between. It likely would be the most difficult experience of a teaching career. On the plus side, many of the teachers are able to get certification at the end of two years. So if you decided late in your undergrad vcareer to give teaching a chance, it is another path to certification. There are regional training sites for an intensive student teach experience and off you go.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) Well, now its 5!!! Am I correct Win 3 in Minny - They are done Win 2 in Minny Magic Number 1 Win 1 in Minny Magic Number 3 Win None and Their Magic Number is 3?
  9. Sliding into Minnesota 2.5 games up, If I am doing my math correctly 3 wins clinches the division 2 wins - Magic Number 1 1 Win - Magic number 3 0 Win - Twins Magic Number 3
  10. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 04:08 PM) Poor example, Kerouac is clearly not the greatest American writer. Clearly not? Hmm, I wouldn't go that far. I'd go probably not, no great poems, no truly great short stories, he only redefined novels. FWIW and since YAS coughed up his 1. Carlton Fisk 2. Harold Baines 3. Wilbur Wood 4. Mark Buerhle 5. AJ Pierzynski 6. Robin Ventura 7. Joe Crede 8. Jermain Dye 9. Jon Garland 10. Frank Thomas 11. Ron Kittle 12. Ozzie Guillen 13. Greg Luzinski 14. Aaron Rowand 15. Dick Allen 16. Floyd “the Barber” Bannister 17. Jack McDowell 18. Oscar Gamble 19. Bobby Jenks 20. Richie Zisk 21. Magglio Ordonez 22. Lamar Hoyt 23. Carlos May 24. Minnie Minosa 25. Ron Karkovice

  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) It's a program that creates them. I should have known
  13. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) Tex, there are fake ID's, and there are FAKE ID's. Yes, some forgeries are good. Do you punish people for those? Neh. But if the birth certificate of social security card looks like someone made it in their basement with an old IBM Seletric, then yeah, you punish them. KNOWINGLY is the ppint there. Some fakes are so bad, that the only way to get by is if someone wants them to. You can also get the ACLU and immigrant groups to STFU about the social secirity number check they tried to institute, but is in court now by those two groups. Employers are supposed to submit ss numbers for verification to make sure names match the numbers, but somehow the ACLU finds that to be a bad thing. And I was very sure of my guys ID's. Especially Juddlings, since he is my brother. We're close to agreeing. I just get very protective of American business when I look at other penalties for accepting forgeries. No body says if you have a guy working for you that is wanted for murder, shut down the business. But if you have someone working for you that is here illegally, they want the business shut down. Doesn't seem fair to the business and potentially a disaster for our economy. We bail out banks for bad decisions, then turn around and put an employer out of business? When half our agriculture companies are closed, what does that do for our economy and our ability to feed ourselves?
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Seriously, I didn't like it when they went after Obama for Rev Wright, so I'm not going to go after HMP because of this. Exactly. I really don't care who she listens to. It's her actions that are more important.
  15. You may notice some changes, don't worry it is perfectly normal . . .
  16. How certain are you about your employees identity? Would you bet your business those documents are legit and those people are who they claim to be? No stolen identities? Now how would you feel if these were forgeries and you were put out of business? Museums have been fooled. Way back when I was working at Harlem-Irving Plaza I mistakenly accepted a counterfeit bill, how wrong it would have been if I was held responsible.
  17. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) For real? Is it archived anywhere?

    QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 03:21 PM) 2000 b****ES! Stilt
  19. I love the comment at the end by the Fox journalist. "It's an honor to look like her"
  20. Nice cover story /someone tell him what doggy style really is . . .
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) As I've made clear several times, I consider myself an independent because I tend to have far right "morals", but leftist economic and fiscal policies. So with that being said, I disagree with Obama on abortion, gay marriage (he calls them "civil unions"), and some others (I am drawing a black mind right now). I think your Freudian slip is showing
  22. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) 'Cept that's impossible because it's in Minnie. Dammit, I was liking the scenario bastard
