  1. You youngin' are forgetting Otto Kerner (left office for prison), Dan Walker in prison after office for stuff outside of office, William Stranton charged but not convicted. Topinka was probably also as corrupt as Ryan. Texas has a different way to getting rid of our losers, we send them to Washington
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 11:08 PM) Oh s*** ... Selfish Sheff is gonna be bombing for the fences. This is really not good news. This Freddie thing is also not good. Oz has already texted him. Freddie is gonna want blood. I'll take our chances in a fence pounding contest.
  3. Freddy makes me nervous. I'm kind of old-school with this. I truly want Detroit to play it like they are in the race, because they are. Talk about bipolar, I know. But I would be pissed if this was Minny's opponent and they laid down and died. In April I would have taken two games for the playoffs. Home games against Detroit and Minny.
  4. He's the anti-ace.
  5. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) ^^^ New Orleans cuisine is my favorite food to cook. my favorite four dishes are dark roux everything gumbo (shrimp, suasage, chicken and oysters), crawfish etouffee, BBQ shrimp (which strangely enough are NOT cooked on a BBQ), and a Louisianna-ized French crawfish dish called ecrevisse a la Montagneuse. Of course you only use wild caught Gulf shrimp
  6. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Oops, turns out that story wasn't true. http://www.nbc15.com/state/headlines/29864149.html A Wisconsin soldier? I guess no one in Illinois warranted his attention? After all, he is the Senator from Illinois. I guess he hasn't quite grasped the meaningless gestures of Presidential campaigning.
  7. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 09:11 PM) *yawn* Don't care. The only interest I have is if someone has pictures
  8. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) not really. criminals whom killed criminals are the majority of people whom are in prison for murder. a lot of murders seem to be tied to the illicit drug trade. Right. Sentencing is what we are talking about. Kill Joe Businessman and receive a much longer sentence then killing a drug dealer.
  9. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 07:37 PM) Yeah, you have to live by the stove pretty much. I use a chicken stock and white wine. At the end I throw in some mushrooms (best being baby bellas) and onions that I had cooked a little earlier. I end with a handful of asiago cheese being thrown in. I love to cook. I REALLY love to cook. It's how I unwind after work. My wife loves the fact I enjoy it so much, and that I try really hard to be good and usually succeed. I saute the onions in olive oil at the beginning of the process. Then add the rice and saute until the rice turns a little tan. Then I start the stock infusions. I finish with cheese right at the end. The other variations I enjoy are sea food with Gulf wild caught shrimp. And cilantro, got to have cilantro
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 05:51 PM) killing someone for calling you a name gives the murderer no coverage as far as i'm concerned. killing someone for owing you money also gives you no coverage as far as i'm concerend. Actually you have two people who are engaged in an illegal act (drugs dealing) and one kills another. The racial slurs are kind of secondary. As a society we don't mind criminals killing each other, in fact we generally encourage it.
  11. Victimization studies show many cases where the victim actually was an active participant. Remember the hockey coach killing in Boston a few years back? Same thing. The perpetrators usually receive lesser sentences.

  13. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 06:04 PM) Link? News stand. Just saw it today.
  14. Again, all I can think is this is karma kicking me in the balls. It is everything I've wished on Cub fans, including the other team being in the playoffs. f*** They will win tomorrow to make losing the next day that much worse. At least that is what I'd be saying if it were the Cubs. Damn.
  15. Just wondering how we view Enquirer stories now that they had Edwards correct. I'd still ignore it.
  16. One of my favorite meals at home is a pork roast with rosemary cream sauce and risotto. The stock has to be hot and you do need to allow the stock to be completely absorbed before adding more. I'll add a fresh green veggie to give the plate some color.
  17. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 11:56 AM) http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-h...let-where-media Apparently the family has asked Obama to stop wearing and talking about the bracelet, but he has decided to ignore them and do it anyway. That is so wrong, the family should sue. They should be allowed to pick who wears the bracelet.
  18. Mark Buerhle is an Ace!
  19. See that smile on JD!! Way to Go
  20. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) After the replay, it's probably 50/50 at the plate, if that. Not as bad as I thought of a decision.
  21. JD a little history
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:53 PM) The NL Wild Card games are awesome right now. mlb mosiac is pretty cool today
  23. I Mark Buerhle
