  1. Jay does make a nice point there. Everyone is looking foolish in this. And I've met Telander a couple times. On his best day, Jay isn't close to Telander, not even close. Jay is a circus sideshow and Telander is the class act.
  2. Talk about horrid, how many 2nd basemen are on the list?
  3. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) Those emails obtained illegally would be inadmissible, but they could take that information to obtain the emails of the other users legally, no? Rex, I'm not so certain. If you are trespassing in an abandoned building and find a murder victim, are you telling me it would be inadmissible? What if you are here illegally, can you not be a witness? I think we are confusing police from citizens. Why would we write a law that protects criminals from other criminals?
  4. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) buckle up Steff, it only gets better from here. Welcome to the absurdity of parenthood. I went to a 1 year olds birthday party at my old Country Club. Clowns, inflatables, pool, giant cake like something you would see on TV. Best part, it was their child number 4. Other over the top changes from when I went to school. Kindergarten graduation with cap and gown. Junior High formal with tux and limos.
  5. I'm not so certain of your assertion that if someone else is committing a crime, and your crime is discovered that you can't be charged. Let's say for example you are trespassing down a country road and see a crime, certainly you can, and should, report it. Another example that comes to mind, an underage person in a bar. The minor gets busted, and in a separate crime, the bartender gets arrested. Or perhaps a peeping Tom who sees a crime. Of course it is different if it is the police who are breaking the law, but private individuals, I don't think so.

We delayed my daughter's Baptism in 1991 a couple weeks because of a possible conflict with Bulls playoff basketball. Ordinarily that should have indicated a "keeper", but it didn't. Anyhow. And seriously. If you cannot work out this compromise, you will have some major problems down the road on really important things. Talk to her, express your needs, allow her to express her needs, and work through it. You are potentially building communication that will be huge down the road.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 09:06 AM) In reality if capital is evaporating that quickly, they won't be able to stay in Georgia much longer. This is exactly how the Soviet Union collapsed. It wasn't politics, it was a complete lack of money to support the state. No it was Reagan They should have sent out economic stimulus checks.

  13. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 04:36 PM) It's now September and the division is the Sox to lose. Damn, that hit me between the eyes. Hell yes. It is the Sox to lose.
  14. IIRC much depends on the relative impact on both parties. If one is going to be harmed significantly, and the other not at all, it is generally voided. For example, if he is never going to be able to work again, he has no savings, and the S-T circulation rose when he resigned. But it could easily be argued that he has options out of market, and I would assume that the S-T only cares about in market competition.
  15. I had a forehead "like a bumper from a Chevy" way back, but my hairline hasn't receded any more than that. I'm trying to get more gray, but it just ain't happening since I booted out the ex.

  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 01:37 PM) All three are VERY different situations. They are. What they have in common is a team and a player parting ways. I stopped trying to assign blame in what is really a private process.
