Yea, as mentioned, the main storyline was lackluster, it could've been so much better. However, it sets up for some great DLCs, and the gameplay is so smooth and the fighting pretty unique (as in, all the enemies are different and it's not just firing guns into them, there's definitely strategy), that the strikes and stuff are all very entertaining still.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 10:59 AM) I honestly don't remember which coordinator was when or what he did, just saw someone mention it on Twitter. Either way, there's yet another good reason why Zook should have never been fired. What's up with all the Zook love? He ruined this program, he built nothing sustainable. VK was incredible and I realllllly wish that he stayed, but new coach = new staff usually. I still don't think Beckham is the long term answer (never was), but if he does make it to a bowl game he'll get another year. I DO think he is putting the program in a better situation than what Zook left, and whomever replaces Beckman will have an easier job than he did. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 10:55 AM) Another steal for Nevraska from the area as Ed Morrow verbals. Good for Nebraska and hopefully Morrow does well under Miles. I liked Morrow a lot we just didn't have a need for him. -
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 21, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) Destiny on the PS4 is pretty good. It really is. I just wish I had a stronger guy (at lvl 23 right now) so I could do the raids/heroic weekly strikes. Right now we just get s***ted on in them.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 20, 2014 -> 08:00 PM) Why will the price go up? Because they changed their pricing back in March I guess, but because I got my phone back October, I still have the $15/mo price point. When I get a new phone under the "new 2 year agreement" system, they can say the new agreement costs whatever they want, and I guess that pricepoint will be $40 a month. So now my bill will be $77 a month after data plan. Part of a 4 person family plan it's like what, $40 a month total? Found it on their site, unlimited talk/text/10gb of data per month: 2 lines: $130 3 lines: $145 4 lines: $160 So just get on their family plan and save a ton. And use a company's savings code to cut more.

Total votes 24, but 70 votes are for Mouton. Hmm....
-
Family plans seem to have gotten much cheaper as long as you have 4 lines and dont care about vast data usage.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 17, 2014 -> 04:35 PM) I was watching some footage of people playing Vault of Glass. It looks crazy, it's hard to even tell what is going on. I know it takes a few hours to beat. Actually I just read it took the first team to beat this ten hours. Ten! Whaaaaaat. Oh damn, may need to stay away from that for productivity sake.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 17, 2014 -> 02:00 PM) And apparently ND is pulling out of the Coleman recruitment. Looks like UNLV or Illinois. Down to the final 2. Again. Woah, alright so real possibility on JC. Close that deal Groce, I LOVE Coleman's ability to shoot. Him and Jordan for 4 years would be fantastic. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 17, 2014 -> 12:52 PM) Wow. Well then. I'm taking it as a good sign, though it could mean that Coleman just wants to make a decision sooner and has one in mind. Either way, glad to get him on campus and maybe put a bit of pressure on Evans (though both would be welcomed here). Lots of talent taking officials to Illinois, just need to land 1-2 of them and I'll be happy. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 17, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) I-N-I? Is this random or do you know something? I would assume random, haven't seen anything out there. Big weekend though with Elijah Thomas in town, getting him and Evans would be HUGE for this program. -
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Sep 16, 2014 -> 09:55 PM) Just to warn you, there's a lot of grinding once you finish the story (which I still haven't done because I do other stuff, but I digress). You could probably finish it at level 15 or so after 12 hours, if you do nothing but story missions. After that, it's multiplayer and repeated strike missions/raids while trying to upgrade your loot. That will turn a lot of people off. Others will gripe about a virtually non-existant story, boring side missions or mediocre bosses (most of them are just larger versions of regular enemies with limited attacks and insane health bars). I love it though. It's not perfect or revolutionary, but it's fun. The basic gameplay is good, you get some awesome abilities, the graphics are good and it runs well, and you can get some pretty good mileage if you play all three classes and keep chasing loot like I know I will. Yea the story was lackluster, we discussed it briefly last night, but it could've been so much more. It wasn't bad, just wasn't really developed. However, it set itself up really nice for strike missions, and that's really what the game is about. Super smooth gameplay with difficult but not impossible co-op missions. And I love that, there should be a ton of DC material coming out to keep the game alive and the multiplayer is pretty great (but seriously, can they ban shotguns from all PvP shooters).

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2014 -> 02:46 PM) That really sucks. Talk about a great Bear. Peanut was a game changer when he was on the field. Even in last night's game you could just tell that he was a pro, the way he tackles WRs is textbook for turnovers. He'll be missed. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 15, 2014 -> 11:39 AM) Vereen missed a sack on a free run at Kaep, but I liked him out there That was a rookie mistake, he needs to go outside to force Kaep to go inside where there are more bodies. Brock just got big eyed there, that's an easy fix though. -
QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 02:46 PM) PS3 or PS4? PS4 Destiny is great, but really is so much better when playing with friends.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) Did you see the Instagram picture that Bragg posted the other day? It was a picture of him in an Illinois jersey. Only team he has done that with....so far. Shows he's interested, but when UK/KU put the pressure on him (and their boosters come calling) then it's a completely different fight. -
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 11, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) This is something that worries me. When we decide it is time to adopt a golden puppy we will defiantly do our homework and find the right one, no matter how far away they may be. My best friend growing up got a beautiful golden retriever puppy, it was absolutely the best dog I have ever met. I was around that dog a ton, and I heard him bark once, and that was to protect me from two dogs who tried attacking us when I was walking him once. Unfortunately, he got bone cancer at the age of 7 and died about a year or so after. The family and myself were crushed, they had no idea about the genetic issues so the complications came as a complete surprise. I would love to have one someday, but I would be hesitant because of that very reason.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 11, 2014 -> 01:24 PM) Great quote: "We're at war Dick and we're going to find out who did this and we're going to kick their ass." There were a ton of great quotes and pictures in that article, very cool to see. That sniper part is crazy, wonder if it was just false intel or if they really did have a sniper threat.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 11, 2014 -> 09:00 AM) Well that's good news. I still don't see how we get Bragg with Kentucky, Kansas, etc. calling. Thus far, "relationship with Groce and the coaching staff" have not paid off with these top guys. Ultimately that means dick when you're choosing between 2-3 schools. They all have good relationships. Bragg isn't coming here without an elite pg, he's waiting to see how rosters shake out before deciding anything. If we get Evans, I could see Bragg coming here (though still unlikely). Everything kind of depends on Evans now, do we become an elite force in the B1G or do we set ourselves up to be on the bubble/maybe a bit better (Groce could always find a transfer or something as well to help in the future). But really, I think this is going to tell us a lot about the future of Groce's tenure, can he make the splash or is the current Illinois brand not good enough to land one of the guys? -

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 10, 2014 -> 01:17 PM) Well if it makes you feel any better, my optimism for mizzou basketball recruiting under Anderson from August 1st to now has fallen off a cliff. Why's that? I was impressed you guys got MGC.
