Child, Adult Killed In Accident At Toll Plaza Three Other People Seriously Injured POSTED: 12:47 pm CST November 6, 2004 UPDATED: 2:55 pm CST November 6, 2004 HICKORY HILLS, Ill. -- Illinois State Police say a child and an adult were killed in an accident Saturday at a toll plaza on the southbound Tristate Tollway in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. The lanes at the 82nd Street toll plaza near Hickory Hills are closed while rescue workers are on the scene. The semi plowed through the toll plaza and rolled over on top of a vehicle stopped at an automated tollbooth to pay the toll, Illinois State Police Tollway District Trooper Doug Whitmore said. That vehicle was carrying five people, and at least 2 of them were fatally injured, he said. The Police say the three other people were seriously injured. The truck driver suffered minor injuries. The toll plaza worker was airlifted to a hospital. ******************************************************************** First - . Just knowing that toll booth (I travel it twice daily), I really have to wonder if there was a combo of the truck being cut off and equipment malfunction with the truck. Just to be clear, I am not saying the vehicle carrying those who died was possibly cutting the truck off. I wonder how much information in regards to this accident will be released.

I don't have the time to read through this thread (gotta take my car for an oil change), but what the hell. The Mariners wouldn't even take this guy, why the hell are we?! Can we just try going young instead of getting the Indians' castoffs?!

It screws us the way AHL does their scheduling because we want to see the B-Sens (Ottawa's farm team), the WolfPack (just cuz they play where the Whalers used to play) and the Loch Monsters (Hurricanes' farm team) and not one of them are scheduled. We are thinking about doing a weekend in NY to see the Sens play (try to schedule it when either the WolfPack or the Monsters are playing).

It's bummed me, but we are going to try and start going to some Komets and/or K-Wings games when time permits. We'd also like to go and see some ECHL and/or AHL games. Word is the last set of season ticket holders got a letter about the team coming back next year - let's hope! (where's a finger crossing smiley when ya need one lol?!)

It's ridiculous. From what I was told when I got to work this morning, the wife has been all over saying he was railroaded. Seems from her behaviour prior to his arrest was rather suspicious. While I don't think she had much to do with it, I do think she knew from the get go.

I alwas thought Scrubs fans were a heck of alot more whiney than Red Sox fans...
