White Sox vs. Cubs, 5/18/07 (L)
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 18, 2007 -> 03:24 PM) Holy focking crud am I starting to really hate MacDougal. No kidding. Lately he can't pitch his way out of a wet paper bag.

Pitchers duels fun when you can see the game or at least hear it. Reading about it while it is happening in a quiet office zzzzzz.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:27 AM) Rules don't apply at Nascar races. Especially if you are a Hendricks' team. I wonder what she was smoking/drinking that made her think that looked good.

The South Side of Chicago Board of Tourism
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) I like the SSCBT spots a lot as well. The gawky looking guy, the cheesy cramped, outdated office. Good stuff that. My mom and I both got a kick out of those commercials.

A lot of Sox fans are morons.
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 18, 2007 -> 10:44 AM) Detroit is nowhere near Cleveland and Minnesota, guys. One year does not a rivalry make. And actually, I would say Minnesota has got to be our biggest rival because they are the only one of the three teams who were in the old AL west (although back then our biggest rival was Oakland - there's still no team I hate as much as the Athletics).

Official NASCAR Thread
Bill Elliot will be piloting the 21 on a race by race basis. I am glad for this because it guarantees the 21 will be in at least 6 more races. While I think Schrader is a nice guy, he isn't cutting it this year. I don't believe for a moment that it is all the car as during Rudd's second year, the car was on the up and up (a couple 2nd place finishes and a bunch of top 10s/ top 15s - he was the hottest guy not in the chase that year - better than most of the guys that were in the chase). I also don't think it is all him either. Something just isn't there. It wasn't the crew chief as the guy that is crew chief this year is a new dude.

No Fireworks?!?!?!?
I always wanted one of those buggers, but Brain sez no. Maybe when we have the acres we plan on having some day... Then again, Pooka is small for a German Shepherd (due to being mixed with some retriever or another) and practically knocks me down when I walk in the front door. I could end looking like Wyle Coyote after getting in the way of the Roadrunner if I got an Irish Wolfhound.
-
No Fireworks?!?!?!?
A german shepard is maybe half the size of a Wolfhound - I was laughing at the thought of a dog the size of Wolfhound trying to get on board a plane.

DEI Caught Cheating
QUOTE(GaelicSoxFan @ May 15, 2007 -> 05:41 PM) http://www.nascar.com/2007/news/headlines/...ties/index.html Damn, I wish they'd caught 24 & 48. No kidding. While Brian and I are no where near Junya fans, we thought the penalty was rather extreme especially considering the 4 races that the 48's crew cheif got and that they got "the device" back.

QUOTE(Texsox @ May 15, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) Who did he learn that trick from? I have been exposed!

No Fireworks?!?!?!?
QUOTE(Shamrock4Life @ May 14, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) i hate it when people bring their dog ONTO the plane. I should be able to bring on an Irish Wolfhound if that b**** is allowed to bring that rat onto the plane. LMAO at the idea of an Irish Wolfhound on a plane. Pooka would be more spooked by the other dogs rather than the fireworks. He'd also be too busy whoring himself out to score treats and belly rubs.

May 15th "gas protest" nonsense
QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 14, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) All hyperbole aside, I'm glad you're able to do that. In Dallas, there's very little I can do in the way of public transportation (that's environmentally friendly). I'd rather take trains, etc. to save myself the headache of driving, but that's not an option. It's not an option for me either. For me to get from SWS of chicago to Rolling Meadows, it would require 2 trains and at least 2 buses taking about 2-3 hours depending on how on-time each would be.

I was shocked that Buffalo only got 15 shots off last night.

Official NASCAR Thread
I don't know, but I do know that I am no longer going to waste my time watching the races. I am glad that Jeff B scored a top 10 (with a car that was a top 20 at best), but I am sick of the Hendrick dominance.
