  1. I wonder if he is a primordial dwarf. Discovery health has had some interesting shows about that disorder.
  2. My mother-in-law lives near 191st and LaGrange - she often goes to that mall at 191st and Harlem. Heck, I usually stop there on my way home when I am out by her house (usually the Target or Michaels). Prayers go out for all those touched by this.
  3. I wonder if the storm that is expected for tomorrow really will drop 6" of snow on us.
  4. No snow day for me. Took 2 hrs to get to work. Which was only half the time it took me to get home from work Thursday night.
  5. I'm in - I never do well, but it is fun to see who I can jinx weekly .
  6. That surprised me as well. I watched a documentary that was film just a couple years ago and I know they mentioned that in order to get permission to film they had to be in suits and have portable geiger-counters (sp?).
  7. I enjoyed "Life After People." I liked how they used examples of similar changes that are already going on in the world (towns around Chernobyl, etc).
  8. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) TMZ reporting Heath had pnemonia and the pills he took may mixed with the sickness. Maybe not OD. With all the stories floating around I am going to wait on the autopsy. I really hope it was an accident or something like that. I got into him from "A Knight's Tale." He was good in "The Patriot" and the "10 things" movie. I cannot wait for the new batman movie. Brain had me trying get one of the movie posters today and the prices jumped from $35 to $85 on one movie poster site I was checking out. R.I.P. Heath.
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 07:16 PM) There was a touchdown near my house, no clue where though. I was at work. Yeah, there was a touch down on the other side of the lake from our vacation house. Either us, his sister, or his brother will need to go up there soon to make sure everything is okay. When I got in from work last night, the dog was hiding in the basement and wouldn't come up until I called his name. Usually as soon as he hears the keys in the lock he is charging for the door. For the first time in about 6-8 months he was jumping all over me in glee that someone was home to protect him against the storm.

  11. This warm weather is making me crave a baseball game lol.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) Shut the f*** up. None of you are Iowa State fans. I am by way of the Brain.
  13. If she doesn't get committed soon, she will end up offing herself (accidentally or on purpose).
  14. I was talking with my co-worker this morning about Gio. Now, let me start off by saying he has no knowledge of him and my limited knowledge of him comes from this site. Our big question is, how great can he be if he is so easily traded? Or is that fairly typical with any minor league player? Ahhhhh it is good to be back.
  15. I have to admit I kinda like this trade. Yeah, the Sox gave up a good bit of potential for him, but I still like it. Now, if we can find more pitching I will be completely stoked about the upcoming season.
  16. All I know is that my 401K has lost a good bit of money in the last month or so. The annual performance of my selections are very good, but the last month has been painful.
  17. All I can say now without getting myself in to trouble is that Ford needs to pull all support from R Gordon. Also, he needs to take a lesson from Ambrose about being a man. GO MARCOS AMBROSE #59 and whoever is driving the #47 this week (which would be Andy Lally)!!!!!
  18. With the Sox being so far out of it for most of the season (and being tied up with other things), I haven't been paying much attention to other teams. Should the Cubs make the playoffs, what are their chances on making it far?
  19. Anyone in the Mount Greenwood/Alsip area should hit the farmer's market that is on 123rd about 2 blocks west of Pulaski. Good stuff at great prices. Also, I need to do some back patting of my own. We bought a C4180 and I ran into problems with loading of the software (isn't it always a software issue lol). I attacked it Friday night and made the printer and computer happy and now I have a scanner/copier/photoprinter/printer that works like a charm heehee.
  20. As someone said on a Burton board I post at, there is a ton of bad juju surrounding the France family lately. Prayers are out to the families involved in this.
  21. Sorry Kap - just saw this. Yes, it is very quick to get set for the next picture to be taken. I was originially looking at Kodaks as that is what my MIL has, but I found more negative reviews rather than positive for the features I wanted.
  22. Happy bday fellow Cyclones fan!
