Queen Prawn

For Christmas, Brian got me the Panasonic DMC-FZ7. I researched it before telling him that was the one I wanted as it met the specs I wanted. We found it on Amazon for $259 - it was going for about $330-$350 on other sites. All I can think of is Brian from Family Guy repeating, "Mohito" over and over again.

And since Ted Musgrave was parked for hitting Kelly Bires (21 truck) during the caution. Being a fan of the Wood Brothers (who run the 21 truck), I wasn't exactly heart-broken for Musgrave to be honest. I think his history of being a hot-head caught up with him.

They missed PETER STORMARE's best role toda - the VW Engineer. That dude is hysterical in those commercials. (Also, he isn't eastern European, he is Swedish.) I am glad the mentioned JT Walsh - one of my favorite character actors - RIP.

I just received word that my cousin's 20-year-old son was killed in a traffic wreck (from what I understand he was riding a motorcycle) in Tinley yesterday afternoon. My great-aunt is going to my great-aunt and uncle's house this afternoon to tell them their grandson is dead. My heart is broken for my cousin, her husband, surviving kids, my great-aunt and uncle and the rest of the family. RIP.

Ottawa is pulling their annual choke artist routine, just took them longer to get around to it this year. I was really hoping Brian would get to see a championship, but if the Sens continue to choke, that ain't gonna happen.

If I recall what I have read, ships on Lake Michigan also burned during those fires. Droughts will cause that (mucho fires, that is).

Brian and I enjoyed the hell out of that movie. It was worth the $21 and 2-3/4 hrs we spent on it. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it again. It was also fun parking next to my car's twin in the parking lot (considering my car was special ordered, I did get a big kick out of seeing an exact duplicate of it lol). When we get home from our tours of the Southside barbeques, I think I am going to pour a glass of wine and throw in the first Pirates movie.

Happy belated bday!!!

Yay! Pooka is in perfect health. He took his shots like a champ - didn't even whine or whimper. He also pooped on command for someone other than me lol. Brian was astonished by that one haha. He goes back the week of the 11th for his second Lyme booster since we are taking him to Lake Geneva the week of the 18th. Between the frontline, the flea prevention in his heartworm prevent, and the Lyme prevention, fleas and ticks are screwed if they come near him heh heh heh. Just the way we like it. Now if I could convince the buggies StinkyButt has to vamous (sp?). Poor thing was terrified by the other dogs though (including the dogs that I think my hamsters could take on). People think he is going to attack when it is that he is terrified. If he was in defend/attack mode, his fur would be standing up and he growls rather than whines. I've seen it and it ein't pretty. Go POOKA!!!

I will be leaving in an hour to take Pooka to the vet. I have never taken a dog to a vet so this will be an experience for both of us. I have a muzzle for him since he barks and snarles at other dogs. Luckily he is good with people though. I am not even this nervous when I go to see the doctor.

Brian and I are going to see it tonight after dinner at Sabor do Brasil in Orland.
