Anyone know what is burning in the Oak Lawn/Chicago Ridge/Palos area? There has been dark smoke pouring from northwest of me for the last hour or so and I can't find anything about it online anywhere...

Is that why? I guess I can understand that. I wish I could have brought Pooka, but I think he would have needed doggie tranks (he gets weird around other dogs).

I was there last night with my brother, a couple coworkers' and a couple friends of theirs. My brother and I sat in section 129, row 6, seats 1-2. Best freaking seats I ever had - any closer and I would have been sitting in the lap of the Royals' on-deck guy lol. While the offense was offensive, the defense and the pitching were spectacular! I was nervous about bringing Jenks in mid inning, but he nailed it! Overall, I had a fantastic time, but it appears the scoreboard operator (or scoreboard?) also doesn't like AJ .

No kidding Kyyle. She better be sitting her ass in the slammer soon. She's lucky it's only 45 days.

I can't understand the lack of trying to improve the automatic out positions. I also don't understand Konerko's fire and ice routine he's been playing this year (and more ice than fire too).

Jealousy. I hate being short. When we were kids, my sister wanted to be short and I wanted to be tall. Well, she is 5'10 and I am 5'3 lol.

It shouldn't. We are loading this on an older computer where it will run. We load it from the A:\ to the computer. After that the diskettes are put to the side and not used again. After that point, we run through the setup and then run the program. That is why this is so confusing to me - why will it run when we save the files directly from the diskettes and then run setup but not if we save the diskettes to a shared drive, copy them to our local drive and then try to run the setup file on them?

Can anyone think of a reason why a program will run if and only if it is loaded using floppy disks? We loaded all the diskettes onto a CD and tried that way (since my work computer doesn't have an A:\ drive). It will load up, but when you try to run the software you get an error saying the database is already open. The IT guy and I tried to solve this for a half a day before giving up. It is bugging me because it doesn't make sense. Why should the media the program is being loaded onto my PC from make any difference?

I think I need a break from NASCRAP after today.

I live in Chicago and I can't seem to find it on my system. The plus channel is supposed to be 14, but it isn't there. This blows. I will keep checking in case someone down at WoW forgot to flip a switch or something.

That is BS - it was much nastier last night and they got the game in. Oh well, they needed the rest.

The only reason I wasn't completely ticked off that I froze my arse off watching that game was that I got to hang out with my brother adn BS for a couple hours.

I avoid "the Idol" like it's the plague (well, I do that with most things on network TV anymore, truth be told).

Well, hard core rain prediction for tonight has been replaced by showers and nippiliness (thank you 20 MPH winds).

I keep checking here, yahoo.com, and the official White Sox webpage. Other than that, I am not sure where else. I am hoping to know before 4 so I can stop my brother from getting on the bus should it be post-poned.
