    Moving...

4.5 moves. My parents moved into our house on Fairfield when I was a few months old, then at 16 we moved to the house on Springfield. At 24 I moved into my first apartment. Right before my 26th birthday, I moved in with Brian. About a year later the 1/2 moved happened - we had to move all our stuff to the garage and basement for the remodel/rebuild of our house. If we move again it will either be to Seattle or rural southern Illinois.
  2. I remember reading about this when it happened. Horrific.
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 12:33 PM) I never, never, never, would have called you at work and said the rings arrived. Far better to plan a surprise. Brain and surprise are complete opposites. Keep in mind his way of proposing was by shoving me into a jewelry store and telling me to pick a ring lol.
  4. Brian just called and said our rings just arrived. He said his is a little loose, but nothing too terrible. He said that one of the emeralds in mine looks like there is something either on top or bottom of it (might just need cleaning). He said that he didn't think it was in the emerald, but that I should check it to be sure. I want to go home NOW! It doesn't help all these freaking out there questions I keep getting. lol
  5. Between this potential announcement and the NASCAR announcement (two teams are going to Ford, not sure which level of NASCAR and supposedly the Wood Brothers are taking on a second team) I am going nuts! Just spit it out already! lol
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) I'm assuming he got the hard 40 for count ten which means he's got 40 years before he has the opportunity for parole. Although the Daily Show had a good comment on this whole thing. All the news reports talked about how egotistical he was/is and how all he wanted/wants is attention. Of course they spent nearly 10 hours talking just about that during the coverage. I just don't understand how someone who committed the crimes he did has any chance of parole whatsoever. I agree about the attention thing from what I read about his reactions and body language while testifying.
  7. His sentence seems like a slap on the wrist for what he did. I don't care that he will likely be dead before the 40 yrs are up and wouldn't be let out regardless. Life I agree with, but should have been with out any chance of parole.
  8. I heard about the $5 a gallon this morning. If that is true, Brian and I are screwed - I am 40 miles away from work and he is 32 miles away.
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) Practicing to be a mommy? LOL!
  10. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Jim was escorted off the course after trying to pull Fergie's putter. One should never pull a man's putter unless invited.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) Jim golfed with Fergie Jenks on Monday and steriods was a big topic all day. This guy and their conversations have some similarities. This will be huge if true. Wasn't there some rumor about Clemens being juiced? I can't keep up with all the roid rumors anymore.
  12. Brian's proposal was pushing me into a jewelry store and saying, "Pick one." Not romanical, but it got the job done.
  13. I was tearing up reading that. My aunt is currently fighting cancer. One day at a time and so far, so good. I remember reading the first column where he talked about being diagnosed - it is wonderful to read that he has fully recovered.
  14. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) And yeah, I definitely cried in books 4-6. In book 6 a lot. So good. Uh oh. I just finised 3 and teared up at the end of the first two (especially at the end of the first one). I have to get to my mom's house Friday to get the other books now.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) Ahem, bumpity bump, bump. I was thinking about this thread this morning when I checked the score (fell asleep around the 13th).
  16. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) moving back to champaign tommorow woot Have fun and be careful!
  17. My nicknames: Bungerlina (don't ask) and Monkey-Butt Brian's (his are many and varied): Brain, Pasty, Mookie, Kaiser, Skelator (from his HS days) and when he pisses me off Prick. Funny part is there are a bunch of his friends who didn't know his real name until recently.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) I'm not in favor of certain individual(s) immigrating from Cincinnati to Chicago That makes two of us!
  19. My vote is for either one of the Discovery channels or the Food channel. History channel is usually quite interesting.
  20. Sorry - did a quick edit (voted wrong). I had voted coffee and mean beer. I could NEVER give up coffee completely.
  21. I have less than 100 pages to go in 3 and my mom has 4 and 5 waiting for me (she won't get 6 for a few weeks). Found out she also has the movies which I am borrowing as soon as I can - my sister has the first one at the moment, but hopefully I can get it by the weekend.
  22. The whole thing is scary. for the people on board and their family and friends.
