  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Between 66 and 72. Huh, I thought I was in pretty good shape. Ditto. And I do plenty of cardio a week. Thinking about it, I think it has more to do with my breathing because of my allergies which have been particularly bad the last few days. Normally my heart isn't beating that fast from other times I have checked.
  2. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) I thought this one was worth a whirl. Mine has got to be the one where they have this guy tied up and are torturing him by burning up his cell phone minutes. "Department of Motor vechiles........" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Brian fall off the bed laughing at this one. This one and the "Ranch Tooth" commercials. They crack me up too.
  3. Looks like gas in my area went up again. Then again there are a few that actually went down since yesterday. That is somewhat confusing.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) Am I the only one who didn't particularly like his broadcasting style? I'm not angry about this decision. Not the only one. I didn't dislike him, but I am not crazy about him either. Now Farmer, I would haven't have been heartbroken if they got rid of him.
  5. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) Um... I think you should read a little further on that link. LMAO!
  6. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) for some (prolly sick) reason i can imagine a crew chief doing number seven... After listening to an interview with Burton's crew cheif and reading posts from one of th pit crew on another site, I can REALLY see them doing that to him!
  7. Whatever it is, I hope it isn't anything serious and something that can be resolved quickly.
  8. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) it's a pretty famous headline, you can google image search it and come up with a bunch. Makes me laugh everytime I look at it! Thanks - I wanted to find it to show Brain.
  9. There is another site that I post at and think what Kanye did is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I can't say I agree with that. I agree with wino and the other posters that think the weak response is more discrimination against poor than black. Growing up as poor as I did, I developed a "healthy" dislike for government and politics in general. I honestly believe that had their been money people (regardless of black or white) there rather than middle to lower class people, the water, food and help wouldn't have taken so long.
  10. 10. Repeatedly ask “How hard could it be to drive in circles all day? My pet hamster could do that.” 9. As he’s about to walk out the door to do an interview, “You know buddy, that fire suit sure isn’t very flattering. It kinda makes you look fat.” 8. When he wins a race, don’t meet him in victory lane. Encourage the rest of the crew to do the same. 7. Refuse to put the steering wheel in the car at the beginning of the race until he kisses your cheek and calls you sugar button. 6. While he’s napping in the hauler during a rain delay, paint his finger nails a lovely shade of pink or purple. 5. Sing the Hamster Dance song continually over the radio throughout the entire race. 4. “Accidentally” include the driver’s personal cell phone number in a letter that goes out to all the members of their fan club. 3. Every time he does an interview stand behind him and continually mimic him until he loses his concentration. 2. Slid your cell phone in the pocket of his uniform. Make sure the phone in on vibrate. Then repeatedly call the phone each time he attempts to pass a car. 1. Change the pit stall location with other teams for every pit stop during the race. ******************************************************************** 5, 2 and 1 are my favorites.
  11. And I was actually able to watch most of the game! GO SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I had my trusty Carolina Hurricanes hat on while working out today. I kept getting these funny looks. I didn't even think about "that" when I grabbed that hat to wear today (it is usually between that and my Florida Everblades hat).
  13. I have to ask - WinninUgly, where did you find your avatar?
  14. Favre and McNair teamed up as well - it's in the Hurricane thread in SLaP.
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) did you ever see the lame american rip off, with patrick swayze?? :puke That movie - To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Love Julie Newmar - was hysterical.
  16. Reddy and Tex - deep breaths. We are all on the same side here.
  17. QUOTE(Yossarian @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) I'll take this one on. I've rooted for the Sox almost half a century. I hung in there in the darkest times of all from 1968-70 when the Sox didn't draw flies, fielded awful teams and even played some home games in Milwaukee. I remember 1975 when the AL promised the White Sox franchise to the good folks in Seattle and had to backpeddle when Bill Veeck came to the rescue. That same Bill Veeck was ready to sell the team to Marvin Allen, who would move the team to Denver, a few years later. I've watched the Reinsdorf regime for a quarter of a century either be unwilling or unable to build a consistently winning franchise. The White Sox are and were my team of choice and I've hung in there with them both monetarily and emotionally. I'm so old I actually remember watching the 59 WS on TV, and could still give a pretty good game by game analysis of it. We lost the Series in game 2 when third base coach Tony Cuccinello did a "wavin' Wally" and sent Sherm Lollar home, ending a rally. Lollar made Paul Konerko look like a track star. I'm not old enough to remember 1917 and don't even know anybody who is. I've been through it all and don't need any lectures. The Sox seem to me to be a few bricks shy of a load, not a World Series caliber team. In the modern day watered down state of baseball a few bricks shy of a load may still be good enough. So I'll continue to call it like I see it and still root for the Sox. I don't need a loyalty test, I passed mine a long time ago thank you.
  18. If you are looking at used cars, I suggest Carmax. Brian got his Mustang GT there and purchased the warranty - it has already paid for itself. The price was as advertised, gave a great price on the trade in and got us a good interest rate.
  19. The times I went into a dealership, I always made sure I knew exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend. If something started to seem shady to me, I was outta there.
  20. Illinois National Guard from Peoria (just got back from Iraq) are going down with supplies from the Chicago and Peoria area today/this weekend.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) It's not a good answer.. but how do you plan for the unknown...? With the age of those levees, there was a strong chance of failure, they had to be prepared. Considering what is going on, they didn't even think about this potential disaster once.
