That is good news. My sister had a bolt in her hip removed a few years ago. It was placed to hold the growth cap to the bone so the legs would be close to equal in height. Too bad Dr Dumbass left them in too long (should have been removed when she was 16 but wouldn't) and one leg is 1/4" shorter because the bolt couldn't extend any further.

Did anyone watch the Flight 93 special on Discovery last night? That was something else. I ended up staying up for most of the 10 pm showing (saw the last half hour before I watched the first 1.5 hrs). I almost wasn't going to, but I did. Brian was watching what he could until he had to leave for work. The one thing about that day that was really vivid in my mind after watching that was being relived that my dad wasn't going to work and then when Brian said he was (he worked at 18th and State and was on 3rd shift that week) how I really didn't want him to, but he said he had to and they weren't going to keep him holed up in his house in fear. He called me at about 11 that night and we talked for a half hour about the eerie silence from no planes, the occasion fighter jet that was flying above his building and all the guys were watching and about how he didn't want to hang up the phone because of all the "you never know" that hung in the air at that time.

I don't understand how any home/building owner in New Orleans did not have to have flood insurance (unless their mortgages were paid off which then they can do what they want). We were forced by FEMA for a couple years to have flood insurance because of the creek that is about a half block behind our house. FEMA repealed it and now we do not need to have it.
