  1. FWIW, I think KnuckleSox atleast tried to jump back on...he looked at the two team's schedules and saw how much easier ours is.
  2. I came over from the MLB boards because that board was going down the s***ter. A link was posted, and there were "recruiters" there if that's what you want to call them. HSC, cw, Jas, baggs...a lot of people told me about it. Then I decided to come over here. To be quite honest, one of the reasons I came over here was because I could say f*** and s***. :banghead
  3. Soxbadger is atleast a Wiscy U fan...not sure if he goes there though.
  4. Yes he does. He was going to fail a 3rd drug test, and just decided retiring was the best thing to do. Perhaps he will not smoke it up when he is retired...I can't say...but he did retire for that reason.
  5. If you can't find one at like Target or Wal-Mart, I'd check a video game store. And if you can't find it there, check eBay. If eBay doesn't have it, odds are there are none out there, or atleast there are none for sale.

    candy

I love candy. But whenever I eat a lot of it, my teeth get sore and I get a stomach ache(yeah I know I sound like a little kid) If my teeth didnt get so sore, I'd eat the s*** out of candy all the time. Hell, I still do most of the time. I like almost all kinds of candy, but I'm not a big fan of licorice. I'll eat cherry and black licorice, but I won't touch strawberry twizzlers...ick. Not sure why, but I can't stand them.
  7. You know what would be awesome is if you could make that like multi-colored...like one color for places people live, and another for where people have posted from or where they used to live. For example, I did use to live in South Dakota, and I posted from there. Maybe that could be blue or something like that.
  8. Trade a stud defensive 1Bman, probably a 20-30 homer guy in Cuddyer who has all kinds of versatility(can play 1B, 2B, 3B, LF, and RF), and a potential 20-30 homer guy in Restovich for a rent-a-player. Great plan...seriously, go for it.
  9. Oh I know he will. I was just saying if we can get him for $5 mill or less, we should resign him. I can't imagine why anyone would want to give him $8 mill a year though...$8 mill a year for a potential 4.50-5.00 ERA? :headshake
  10. If we lose the division by 1 game, it is. I agree though. It's nothing big right now. Go out and win the next 5-10 series, and you'll be leading the division by 3-5 games going into September.
  11. If he wants $8 mill plus, get him the hell out of here...we can't have an $8 mill risk. If he wants $5 mill or less...why not? He's going to win us 12-15 games, unless he's injured, and if he regains his velocity, he's back to being a 15-18 game winner and see him post a 3.50 or so ERA...maybe even better.
  12. Why on earth would you let Jose go? If you can resign him for $4 mill per for 2 years, you do it...we don't have a replacement as of yet(you think Uribe can play SS for an entire season? Lmao), and he's relatively cheap, is a leader in the clubhouse, etc...you just don't let him go. Regarding Loaiza...I say if you can resign him for $5 mill a year for a couple years, you take the risk...play a game of russian roulette and see if he doesn't regain that velocity next year. If he does, you have yourself a steal. If not, you have a burden of a contract. I'd rather have those two at $9 mill next year with $5 mill extra to play around with then to have Maggs at $14 mill...then again, if he doesn't get the offer he's looking for, there is a chance we can resign him for $6-7 mill and let himself prove that he is healthy next year.
  13. JB has been a hell of a player for us. I have a feeling he will come up with something big for this team in the end. (of course, if you say that enough times, you'll undoubtedly be rewarded somewhere down the line with a great call, right? )
  14. That's the part that gets me. The team is not done. Last I checked, they still have 63 or so more games left, so they're not officially done yet, and they're still mathematically alive.
  15. Definately is a possibility, isn't it? rolleyeyes.gif
  16. Just to state the obvious here, FWIW... Jose Valentin did have a s***ty day...and he'd undoubtedly be the first one to tell you that.
  17. Game should be 5-4 and over after the bottom of the 9th if Borch doesn't ground into a double play! Hindsight is 20-20...who gives a s*** if he drops it, pitch over it. Blame Shingo for giving up the hit, because I know for a fact Jose wasn't on the mound. :dips***
  18. It's not Jose's fault, dumbass, it's the team's fault. 6 baserunners reach in the 7th, and we get 1 goddamn run. Runners on the corners, 1 out in the bottom of the 9th, Borch GIDPs. You win as a team, you lose as a team...there is rarely a game where 1 person is at fault.
  19. He wouldn't be brought in and be looked at as a savior. He'd be looked at as a low-risk, high-reward type of player. We get him and he starts hitting like he did with the Cubs last year, and we got ourselves a diamond in the rough, and there is really little need at all to get an everyday RFer, since we can just put Jurassic out in RF, have Simon DH, and we are set.
  20. Morneau doesn't look like a LFer to me. Too big, too clumsy, and too slow to be a LFer, especially for the Twins. He looks like he'd be worse then Ross Gload in the OF.
  21. Don't you mean 3? I mean, Caballo isn't a table setter, but the #3 hitter is still at the top of the lineup.
